The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world. WE continue to share and depend on the support of our prayer warrior community, that has lowered us into the Lord's presence for His healing!

3 years ago Jude just a few weeks from turning one meets his first baby calf. Oh my, so sweet is this! We are now in the beginning of calving and grandma is making fake plans to get the Marshall grandkids in some adorable calf pictures for 2023.
I am working on birthday cards for my 3 boys that have turned 4 and only Jude is left to turn 4 on March 26.
A memory from some years back as Rose Again in now close to 11 years old. Looking at the huge piles of snow everywhere it seems impossible that these were picked outside about 5 years ago. It seems so far off this year.

OK, so it all started with Lucy setting the stage for the rest to follow. Funny!
Lots today in the readings about how we are to share The Faith in our homes with our children and grandchildren.
"However, take care and be earnestly on your guard not to forget the things which your own eyes have seen, nor let them slip from your memory as long as you live, but teach them to your children and to your children's children." Det 4 This is speaking about the statutes and decrees and commandments the Lord gives to us.

The girls and I - all married! Little Sister Hallel is a fully professed nun in The Community of the Lamb and married to her spouse, Jesus. 24 of us including 3 in the womb traveled to France for her final vows in 2018 - The Gospel of having the faith to move a mountain came to life for me!

Daughter, Maria, became Mary's Godmother at her Baptism almost 17 years ago. She now was Mary's sponsor for Confirmation. So many prayers that each of our 23 grandchildren will embrace Jesus and his Bride, The Church, to make it their own for their lifetime.
It was delightful to find a Hallel Psalm today in mass - Psalm 147 - a Hallel Psalm gives God all the praise - the first part of a word we are not to use during Lent - Hallelujah. Words from the Psalm today once again remind us of how we are to share our Faith with our children and their children...

Not only the weather which is appropriate this winter, but also reminding us of the blessing our children are and also our responsibility to raise them to be "good"
I had the father of a large family ask me how he should respond when people are critical of him having so many kids. I said: “It’s simple. What does the world need the most right now? I think it’s pretty clear: We need good people. Holy people. People of integrity and high moral character. People who are joyful, and hopeful, and courageous. And we don’t just need a few of these people- we need a lot of them. So, have a bunch of kids, and raise them to be good, and holy, and joyful, and courageous people, who will one day become the husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, Priests and Sisters that our world so desperately needs. OH my!!! Hospice friends gathered at one of our homes to share from the heart and look each other in the eyes after all we shared years ago working with those that were facing death and helping them and their families to walk into the sunset of their lives peacefully with all their needs met - physical, spiritual and psychological to the best of our abilities.
I love hospice, and I was able to share with them how thanks to covid, my father came home to my farm and went on hospice the day her arrived... Prairie Home Hospice where we had all worked together years before. He then lived his best possible life under the circumstances for 6 months with the help of a nurse, who had been a hair stylist previous and did medical procedures as well as cut his hair every month, an aide that did his toenails and fingernails once a month, a HHA that did his shower twice a week... dad loved it all and felt like a King!

Mom died the month before he came to live with me - bringing his prophecy 20 years earlier - that "if anything happens to your mother, I will come and live with you on the farm." come true!
Many emotions knowing that tomorrow is the anniversary of mom's death in a day on March 16th,2020. Just as covid was shutting everything down... we were allowed to gather at her death bed after she fell before breakfast breaking her hip and died by 5p with dad and 4 of the 11 children gathered by her side. I put the word out and many called to give her love and thanks!
As I said... so many powerful emotions now that both my parents are gone 7 months apart after sharing 70 years of marriage - I being the oldest of the 12 children truly had the most time with them, and how I loved every minute!
Dad eating our homemade Tomato soup! I think that at the end it was what he ate twice a day - he Loved it! Jesus, I am eternally grateful for my parents and how they truly took us by the hand and led us into the Most Amazing Faith journey of coming into The Catholic Church and praying over us to receive The Holy Spirit, and so very much! How I loved to learn at their feet! And now I am so blessed by all that they left behind for me in their prayer books! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen
