Pray about it... Answer is "No"/"...my God, in whom I trust."/Jesus raises us from the dead! - +JMJ+

One of my favorite pictures when the grands are together - my 2 red heads!  Romeo is 8 and is one of the military kids and Joy is 6 and one of the farm kids.  This was after we shared the 14th Sunday of Ordinary time yesterday morning.

Saying hi to Mary the Mother of God on our way out of mass yesterday morning.  

Joined by Romeo's little sister, Evangeline Mary, who is 6 with Joy.  Evie is one of my "Verly girls" with the dark hair and eyes like her mom, Maria and her big sister Therese!  

Maria and family heading in to get tour of the apartments that Ruth and Paul are remodeling - so busy!   

Grandma had a heart attack when Patrick opened the door with no deck out there!  There will be one there soon for that wonderful outdoor space to make the apartments that much more wonderful.

Brunch on the porch is our way of celebrating each Sunday after sharing mass as a family.  Ruth's porch has been especially wonderful with the cooler weather, nice breeze, and they sprayed for flies so that they were not around to spoil our fun and food!

The night before the cows and calves came up on the pasture, so I asked Maria and Major Joseph to pose for me there...

LOVE this one!  They are here for the week and will get the key to their home on Friday and will do the big move then.  They have fake plans to go down there on Thursday to spend the night in a hotel by base and then be there to move in bright and early.  

Now John and Bobbi with little 6 month Lucy Marie, who is such a sweet and happy girl!  

Now with the cows and calves that we quickly leaving the pasture for grass somewhere else.  "Quick, the cows are leaving!"  

Grandpa with the 2 - 26 month old Maggie and 19 month old Tom - tickle time!  

Tom gives grandma so many sweet smiles!  I spend a lot of time with him as Ruth is so busy with her many projects.  

This is pegged as my next kitten!  His name is Dickens as he is very  playful and loves to nibble with your fingers and play with anything he can get his claws on.

Maggie and Dickens are getting to know each other from a distance.  

Praying with John last night as he has the last hour of Sunday and I have the first hour of Monday - so we pray.  I shared with John that I had just talked to Hallel about staying with her while I helped Maria and Joe with their move.  "Why don't you wait and come with dad?  You should pray about it because I don't really like you to drive that long trip home by yourself."  

While John and I were praying about it together - John spoke up; "I have something on my heart.  You  should not leave dad here home alone.  You need to be here with dad."  OK, the answer is "No." to prayer.  Ruth and Paul are leaving on Thursday too for their vacation, so Pat truly would have been here on the farm alone, and that is probably not good.  He has assured me that soon we will get down there to see both of our daughters.  I am hopeful and wishing it could be in a few days instead.  PATIENCE! 

9 years ago in Michigan before the men went back to the farm - Pat and John...  

Framed in my office - I added our nun; Little Sister Hallel, to make it perfect!  Our 5 children - Ruth, Nancy, Maria, Susan- Little Sister Hallel, and John!  We have 5 here with us and 7 in heaven keeping our eyes on heaven as we stagger down the narrow path carrying/dragging our Most Cherished Cross.  

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"  

Our military granddaughter, who is the oldest of the 7 - 15 year old Therese meeting John and Bobbi's youngest - 6 month old Lucy Marie for the first time.  Lucy is our 23rd grandchild and we are enjoying 17 of them these days for meals and sharing time together on the farm.  There is some talk of Nancy coming with the other 6 tomorrow for a pool day.  The heat has returned!  

Therese is so wonderful with the little ones!  

Now with oldest and youngest of Maria's with the little baby girl.  How they love the little ones!  

Maggie wants to hold the baby.  

The porch is wonderful with no flies and the cool breezes - Lucy is starting to reach and enter the "grab nabber" phase.

Birdie 3, Joy6, Evangline 6 and Maggie 2 take a lick.  LOVE the colorful beach towels on the railing after time in the pool on the farm.  

Can't get enough, and the dog did get Maggie's eventually.  

Tom's also went to the dog after enough licks to be full.

3 year old Birdie Barbara and 4 year old Hector would click their ones together and say "Cheers!" after each bite.

3 Verly kids with the dark hair and eyes!  It is so special to see each one is special and unique, with some similarities to their parents - our kids and kids in law!  

The Gospel today was so packed with miracles and reminders of how Jesus is there to be touched when we have a need, and to raise us and those from the dead when we are sinking in sin.  The woman with the 12 years of bleeding - reached out and touched the hem of his garment and her faith led to her healing.  

Our prayers for those that are dead to The Truth and to the Church, Jesus, Mary and The Saints.  After praying the litany of our 2 families of 250+ - there are so many that are sadly lost and unaware of all the Lord wants to bless them with - how he longs to raise them from the death they are in the midst of.  "Jesus and Mary, I love you, save souls."  I repeat 3 times or more when I am at the end of the litany!  

She said to herself, ""If only I can touch his cloak, I shall be cured.""
Jesus turned around and saw her, and said,
""Courage, daughter!  Your faith has saved you.""
And from that hour the woman was cured.

When Jesus arrived at the official's house
and saw the flute players and the crowd who were making a commotion,
he said, ""Go away! The girl is not dead but sleeping.""

and the little girl arose.

Our 3 oldest grandchildren - Simon, who is now going on to college next year, Mary, who is a senior, and Therese, who is going into 10th grade, and is 15.  Last night John and I prayed for their journey of Faith to continue as they go forth into the world and what it holds for them.  Hear our prayer, O Lord and Lady!  

The view from our upstairs window when I was making beds for our company.  We need rain!  

The 91st Psalm today is so filled with TRUST, and on the farm that is all we can do when it comes to Mother nature and the rain we need for our thousands of acres of crops!

There are so many parts of my life that I must give the control over to the Lord!  We are called to pray and to Trust!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah

"The cows are here to welcome us!"  The military family here for about a week on the farm.  I am heading over to take a dip in the pool with the mob.  

The tickles started with Maggie tickling grandpa Pat's toes...

John and I taking it to prayer, and we end our prayer with "Hail Holy Queen - Salve Regina!"

Salve Regina as The Community of the Lamb - Dominicans sing it each night at night prayer - angels singing!  

LOVE this from dad's man, Brother Victor today.  He allows me to share in his life as a monk - work and prayer!  

My dad was a Permanent Deacon in The Catholic Church for 44 years - after he brought our family of 13  into the Church 51 years ago.  He lived with me in my "farm monastery" for the last 6 months of his life and I was allowed to share in his religious life with Morning and Evening Prayer of The Church, and Rosary and chaplet at 3p on my porch each day!  So wonderful!  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 34 plus many Litle Brothers and Little Sisters.  As hubby says - "We didn't lose our daughter, we gained a family!"

The Litany of the Most Precious Blood  pays tribute to the blood our Lord both shed for us

in His Passion and offers us through the Eucharist.  This Litany was approved for public use

in 1960 by Pope St John XXIII, although devotion to the Precious Blood goes back centuries.

Indeed, as Father Faber wrote in 1860 “the lives of the saints

are replete with devotion to the precious blood.”

 

The month of July is dedicated to the Precious Blood.
