On their way to the 4th of July parade that got rained out this year.
Pre parade - George Washington crossing the Delaware...Rained out!!! It sound like they are getting lots of rain there, and we are praying for more rain once again.
I kind of have fake plans to be down in Leavenworth when they move into their house on base on the 13th of July - watching the kids so that they are all free to do the moving and lifting and unpacking. Pat had thought that he might come down and help them, but the farm family is gone, so he needs to be on the farm while they are gone for sure. Of course, I will take some time with the Little Sisters and Little Brothers in KCK, too.
Wonderful picture - I love how Maggie seems to be living in dresses and a field of daisy's for the perfect photo opportunity! Thanks, Maria!
I left my swim aerobics class with great JOY in my heart! I was able to share one of those miraculous stories with some of the ladies starting with John being 14 years from his battle with brain cancer at the Mayo. I then was able to share the most charming and amazing story of Bobbi waiting 10 years for John. It was revealed to her when a senior in high school that she would marry John Verly! Here is her story, which she shared at their wedding reception!
After being classmates for all 13 years for them to come together 10 years after graduating is kind of special. She shared to the 300 family and friends gathered at the reception in her sweet humble way about how John Verly popped into her head and heart when they were seniors in HS as her future husband. Time and time again the same answer came to her through prayer and roses from St Therese and opening her eyes to see him right in front of her at WYD in Australia... When we consider what John experienced over those 10 years... brain cancer, seminary, girl friends, ups and downs and how disheartening it probably was and how powerful her prayers were for him!!!! Amazing!!! And how patient and trusting and prayerful and waiting and praying for John, this sweet girl was!
The Gospel today is the Paralytic from Matthew 9:1-8 he then said to the paralytic,
"Rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home."
He rose and went home.
When the crowds saw this they were struck with awe
and glorified God who had given such authority to men.
This was huge for us when John was battling cancer - as he was lowered in front of Jesus by his friends, family, prayer warriors! John not only survived brain cancer, but found his faith in Jesus, Mary and The Church as a result and his story continues now with wife and 3 precious children!

His Spirit Juice Video says it all and the story continues! Pink sunset with calves looking through the fence and tall grass to watch me...Picking up Pat at sunset where he is cutting more grass hay. It is a constant job through the summer - haying!
Putting fuel in the tractor for the next day.
LOVE the squash blossoms and the squash that come from them.
Ruth's amazing garden and the corn field beside it that is starting to tassel - we need rain, Lord!
Oh, my heart! 10 years ago Ruth with her little 1 year old Rose Again! Rose just turned 11 on May Day! And Rose longs to return to Michigan with grandma and how I long to figure out how we can with the fair and family vacations.
Now Nancy and Bill's family in Pennsylvania! They are visiting Bill's family there, and it looks like their youngest 1 1/2 year old Regina has a sweet sandbox to play in.
Sparklers for the 4th with Gus and Dom.
4 year old George at the day at the Theme park close by.
