Simple Profession of little brother David
Presided by Archbishop Joseph Naumann
Today I am focusing on the mass - tomorrow I will devote to the amazing out of this world vows!!!
The Consecrated Life, deeply rooted in the example and teaching of Christ the Lord, is a gift of God the Father to his Church through the Holy Spirit.David is blind and uses a brail machine to read and sing.
In every age there have been men and women who, obedient to the Father's call and to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, have chosen this special way of following Christ, in order to devote themselves to him with an "undivided" heart (cf I Cor 7:34). Like the Apostles , they too have left behind in order to be with Christ and to put themselves, as he did, at the service of God and their brothers and sisters. St John Paul II, Vita Consecrata
Christ, have Mercy.
Lord, have Mercy.
and on earth peace to people of good will."
Community of the Lamb in St Peter's Cathedral, KCK - January 14,2024 at 3pm
Our daughter, little sister Hallel reading the second reading from the Second Sunday of Ordinary time from I Corinthians 6
The Body is not for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body; God raised the Lord and will also raise us by his power.
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? But whoever is joined to the Lord becomes one Spirit with him. Avoid immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the immoral person sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.
So powerful from her heart and mind and soul! I am convicted to do better with what I put in my mind!

Mark 6:7-13English Standard Version
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles
7 And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits. 8 He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in their belts— 9 but to wear sandals and not put on two tunics.[a] 10 And he said to them, “Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you depart from there. 11 And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them.” 12 So they went out and proclaimed that people should repent. 13 And they cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and healed them.

Back at mass this morning with hubby - we have had such a wonderful holy time over these last few days with some white knuckle driving on both ends yet with prayer keeping us safe. It is wonderful to be back at the daily goodness of mass followed by a great time in water aerobics in the pool at the Y, and then able to visit my Marie with MOW. Before that I had a special time getting back to volunteering for Hospice. A good day!
