First snow of Winter, and for Neumann too/"I know who you are–the Holy One of God!” - +JMJ+

John's 3 watching dad blow snow from their driveway this morning.  This is Lucy's first winter of her memory as she will be one in 2 days.  

In Delano our 2 year old Regina Maria is now 2 on December 16, and more than likely the first snow she will ever remember now as we are having our first snowfall of the winter .  

My new farm cat - a spring kitten now mostly full grown is also experiencing his first show too.  

He is adjusting to his new home inside with me very well.  Now trained to the cat box and sleeping on Pat's desk chair at night close to food, water and his toilet.  He is my new companion... here while I write...

Why would I have an extra chair if not for my buddy - usually it is Tommy to be spun in a circle round and round.  He will be thrilled to now have his buddy, Neumann formerly Dickens here to play with.  He can now spin Neumann on the desk chair.

Everything now has a beautiful white cover...

Pat here to clear my driveway so that I could get out for some errands.  Tomorrow hope to get back to regular with mass and the Y.

I took down the Christmas tree and put away the Advent wreath for this year, but the wreath on the door and the lights on the railing on the porch are to bring light into the darkness.  How we love to see that continue now in the dark of winter and the covering of white!  

So peaceful and beautiful is the snow cover with Our Lady in the midst!

Today in the Gospel from Mark - we hear a demon that speaks of Jesus being the Son of God!

Gospel Mk 1:21-28

Jesus came to Capernaum with his followers, 
and on the sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught.
The people were astonished at his teaching,
for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes.
In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit;
he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth?
Have you come to destroy us?
I know who you are–the Holy One of God!” 
Jesus rebuked him and said, “Quiet!  Come out of him!”
The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud cry came out of him.
All were amazed and asked one another,
 “What is this?
A new teaching with authority.
He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him.”
His fame spread everywhere throughout the whole region of Galilee.  

Sharing the whole thing!  He is truly God with us!  May I die to self so that you may live in me and I may become your hands and feet!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 33 plus many Little Sisters and Little Brothers.
