A few days to prepare and pray!/A Thanksgiving like no other/Remain faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. The Lamb - +JMJ+

Praying with John in the middle of the night is so special and a gift to us!  He has the last hour of Sunday and I have the first hour of Monday with Jesus.  We did not plan this, but Jesus did!
The Farm family is once again putting up snowflakes in the house on the front picture window.  No snow yet to speak of, and that means a lot less work for the farmers and nice roads for traveling.  We are hoping for that as we are going back to Kansas tomorrow.

Not only for us on the roads but for the many that are traveling to be with family for Thanksgiving.

12 year old Rose taping them in place with the help of big brother, David.  Rose will be joining grandpa and I as we are picking her up from school and driving to Fort Riley to cook our turkey overnight, and then head to Lumen Christi/LIGHT of Christ Monastery in KCK.  Rose will join us as well as oldest miliary kid, Therese.

The day after Thanksgiving there will be a teen girl retreat with the little sisters, and 3 of our granddaughters are attending.  Therese 16, Bernadette 12 and Rose 12 1/2.  So many prayers for them to have a deep powerful experience and that they will walk ever deeper with Jesus.  Of course, I always pray that they will include a call to religious life as a possibility when they are asking the Lord to show them his plan for them in their lives.  It is a most beautiful option.

Just as I made sure my girls could see Nuns in habits in their lives... I know that Maria also discerned that option for her, and now encourages her children to consider a call to be a nun or priest.

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Susan Angela Agnes/Little Sister Hallel - the story of a Call .

Tom Sunday morning - Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.  He had just got home the night before from 3 days in Kansas.  He was such an excellent traveler along with his sister, Joy!
These two are just 6 months apart - they are both now 3.  They were so wonderful together, and played and played and played without an single argument!  John gave her a new nickname - "Meg!"
Joy and Evangeline are also just 6 months apart.  Evie just turned 8 on November 1st and Joy will be 8 on March 31st next year.  They are wonderful cousin/friends also and played outside a lot with the boys and their "swords" made of PVC pipe.
A picture of the Universal Church - 3 military priests from Minnesota, Poland and Africa!  Mass on base Saturday morning followed by a retreat for the kids preparing for Advent which begins on Sunday.
Oldest military granddaughter, Therese on a college visit to University of Mary in Bismarck, ND.  This is the Grotto to Mary that has enhanced the campus since Ruth and Nancy went there.  Therese said that it was wonderful and she is interested in the nursing program, which is what her Aunt Ruth did!
We have a paver with our name on it in the grotto!  We love to promote the love for Our Lady - University of Mary!
Major Joseph along for the visit to U of Mary, and celebrating a 14 year Anniversary of joining the Army!  He is a JAG officer - lawyer in the Army now.
The panorama is stunning from the campus.  But the wind can sure blow there.  Therese mentioned that it is breezy and cool there.  I am very excited to hear all about it from her this week!
Tom got a new payloader for his 3rd birthday last week.  He has lots of round bales to move around!
Mom's delicious carrot cake - she dug 2 five gallon pails of carrots last week.  He had practice blowing out candles at grandma's house first.

Grandpa lit a campfire for hotdogs and marshmallows at the park just down the street from their home on base.  It sure made for a simple and yummy lunch with no cleanup.
12 year old Patrick was a marshmallow expert.
The two littles with some of grandpa Pat's wonderful pancakes both mornings!  Pancakes for 8 kids, who lined up with their empty plates over and over again.
Grandpa decided that he enjoys being a breakfast cook!
Lined up for hot off the griddle!

Last morning snuggle in grandpa and grandma's bed.
LOVE the cousin smiles.  They all were so good for us, and we did spoil them as grandpa and grandma are allowed to do.  Lots of carbs!!!
Joy's painting of St Cecelia on her feast day which was also her parents' 21st Anniversary.  We got our watercoloring in together.  Always a must when we spend time with the grands.
Maggie too!
"NO!" to naps... they played from dawn to dusk and beyond.
Campfire with hot dogs and marshmallows - an easy lunch and loved by all!
They sure loved their pancakes!
10 years ago on their parents 11th Anniversary - snow and cold!  It has been below freezing for 2 weeks!

Neumann checking out the light snow that we had a week ago tomorrow.  WE are off about noon tomorrow with granddaughter, Rose Again along.  My pies are baking and the plans are under weigh for Thanksgiving at Open Table at the little brothers in KCK.  Prayers for safe travels for all on the road for the holiday,
Hoping for another dry winter - snow on the inside and not on the outside.
The 8 loved grandpa's pancakes both mornings!
Military kids playing with their PVC swords... Tommy getting a lesson from the big boys.
Joy holding her own!

I sure am loving the first reading at mass from Revelations - the Lamb appeared and he is honored and praised by all!  The Alleluia is from Revelations 2 today - Remain faithful until death,
and I will give you the crown of life.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.  ON that I will depend, O Lord!
We weren't out of the truck 10 minutes and these two were happily playing with 2 matching planes.  Tommy had a dirty face from a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on the trip and Maggie's hair was wild, but they had each other!

Lord and Lady be with us on this journey to a Thanksgiving like no other.  Safe travels and a blessed time with family and all that come to open table.  May we have time for prayer and praising the Lamb in our chapel on wheels.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33.
The Feast of her Presentation in the Temple was on the 21st while we were traveling in our chapel on wheels - we prayed Morning prayer, and the Rosary.  It was sweet to hear Joy join us on the Hail Marys.  Such a sweet girl she is!
Strawberries for the road!
We were filled to the brim with kids and blankets and pillows!  We also brought 24 pails of black soil from the field for our gardener, Therese!
Rose helping Tom put on his Muffy socks from Bluey!
"It seems to me that I have found my heaven on earth,
because my heaven is you, my God,
and you are in my soul.
You in me, and I in you - may this be my motto."
 St Elizabeth of the Trinity

"When one has just received communion,
of what use are the words of men
when it is God who is speaking?
We must listen to what the
good Lord says to our heart."
St John Vianney
