The motto of our family started with my husband at our engagement encounter 47 years ago. "The world needs lights!" Yes!!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"
Lucy at VCC two weeks ago today she had her 2nd birthday at our Camp weekend. She is wearing her shirt from Santa. She is our youngest grandchild and is John and Bobbi's youngest.
Tom smiling for grandma in the winter light in his shirt from VCC. Tom is my little buddy and he sure loves his grandma! Tom is now 3 along with Gina and Maria's youngest, Maggie. Tom calls her affectionately "Meg".
Tom and grandma got very close while Ruth and Paul were working on the Apartments across from the Catholic Church for a year. Lots of time with his old grandma!
Ruth shared this today after her first Reconciliation. Such a big wonderful day today. Pat and I shared a prayer at breakfast for her to always love Jesus, Mary and The Catholic Church with all that it gives us to live our lives with great JOY and happiness with the 7 Sacraments! Lord hear our prayers for Joy and each one of our 23 grandchildren!
Today is the Feast day of the Conversion of St Paul! Is there any Bible story of transformation as wonderful and powerful as this one of Saul becoming Paul?
Talk about being blinded by the LIGHT...
“A certain Ananias, a devout observer of the law,
and highly spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,
came to me and stood there and said,
‘Saul, my brother, regain your sight.’
And at that very moment I regained my sight and saw him.
Then he said,
‘The God of our ancestors designated you to know his will,
to see the Righteous One, and to hear the sound of his voice;
for you will be his witness before all
to what you have seen and heard.
Now, why delay?
Get up and have yourself baptized and your sins washed away,
calling upon his name.’” Acts 22
He not only regained his sight but he saw the Truth for the first time and was forever transformed!
Farmboy 16 year old Big Dave. Pat and I were just sharing how blessed we are to have our young farm family with such hard working kids making our farm everything we had ever hoped it could be! Thank you, Lord!
15 years ago was the Baptism of #2 grandson named David. Little Dave was 3 weeks old and even Pat's mom went up to the Cities for his Baptism!
We had our first calf on the ground already 15 years ago...
And it was a year of huge snow tunnels to drive through. What a difference from this brown winter.
The two Davids 15 years ago - David Lanoue, who is now 16 1/2 and David Librande, who just turned 15 December 21st.
The snow on the deck 15 years ago.
Joy yesterday with no snow behind her in the farm yard. She is sharing that she is nervous about her first Reconciliation. I know Joy, it is difficult to speak our sins, but so wonderful to hear Jesus tell us that our sins are forgiven.
Some new breakfast dishes for their family of 9.
They will grace our table tomorrow after Catholic Schools Mass and we gather at the farm for our brunch to celebrate receiving our Lord in Body, Blood and Word of God. Soon Joy will be able to join us as of May 4th at the 10a Mass!
Tom jumped in to be in grandma's picture - I think that I have him trained!
Love this from Dad's man, Brother Victor, yesterday on the Feast of St Francis de Sales!
Dad shared with me how much he appreciated his wisdom! How I adore my dad still leading me in the Truth and Beauty we love to share in The Church!
Yes, dad! "Let us try to make the present moment beautiful." Such a wonderful plan for our life!
Michael and Christina with 3 of theirs and a friend with her little one, too!
Oldest grandchild - Simon Lanoue is now 20 and attending Southeast Technical College! Such a wonderful and willing worker on our farm and growing in his faith and knowledge of all things technical.
2nd oldest grandchild, Mary who is 18 and started at the U of M in Ag. Her future is very bright!I had the whole glorious Church to myself for my hour of prayer for Fr Denny with 7 Sisters yesterday. "Speak Lord, your servant is listening."
I always pray on my phone the Office of Readings and Morning Prayer as I witnessed Fr Denny praying the Office on his phone. Yesterday Fr Denny preached about St Francis de Sales saying that we are called to our own path of worship to suit our life. I found that written in the Office of Readings after, and thought that it truly was joining Fr Denny in prayer as I have been led to pray.
Our Lady in the snow 15 yeara ago...A gentle and positive Saint!
How great is this!!! To have a Catholic that loves LIFE in the White House! Thank you, Lord and Lady!
Sad Truth! Lord, please end the horror of taking the lives of the unborn! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah!
Please, dear Lord protect and cherish each life in the womb!
No snow here but cold and brown!
