Our family Christmas picture taken in the Eagle's Nest at Lake Shetek in the Christmas shirts. We are missing 3 - Major Joseph, and Mary Lanoue, who is at a speech contest at the U of M, and our nun, Little sister Hallel. 34-3= 31 for 2024 Christmas celebrated in January.
They left up the Christmas decor, and I talked to my dental hygienist, who shared that 2 of her Christmas are still the last weekend of January and the first weekend of February. It still was special and very much sharing Christmas as a family on the last weekend of official Christmas - ending on the Baptism of our Lord Sunday!
Some of the Big kids... I was always wondering what having the teen years would be like, and I am finding it fun to see how they enjoy each other's company and are good kids!
The 12 year old group! Bernadette from Delano, Patrick from our military family in Kansas, and Farmgirl Rose Again. They gave grandma this gift of all smiling! Thank you, and love you!

Another eye closed with #3 daughter, Maria Theresa, married to Major Joseph who is being deployed to Poland for the next year!
Santa peeking with military granddaughter, 8 year old Evie. Lots of Unicorns joined us and they were very soft and cuddly!
Our live nativity with the 3 wisemen presenting their gifts to the newborn King! Our 3 boys that are all 5! They are each 3 weeks apart from the one older than them! Angel 2 year old Lucy, who celebrated her birthday at VCC on Saturday the 11th, with the 3 wisemen including her big brother, Jude.
Angels, shepherds, wisemen with Mary, Joseph and the baby.
8 year old Josephine with cousin 10 year old Romeo are Mary and Joseph... with the 3 kings.
The come bearing gifts...
Before they come on stage...
Our Lady wrapped in a wonderful blanket I received from my sister, Cheryl. It has many images of Our Lady on it and is so soft!
Angel Joy...

A beautiful peaceful view.
Watercolor fun with the grandkids - grandma had to paint a picture for Lucy on her birthday with my cat and a cow with a poinsettia. Therese and Rose out on the ice out the window.
The Eagles Nest was very nice and we already have it for next year!
Pat checking out the fireplace...
Birdie and the bear. He was just plain cute!
Two special cousin friends - Bernadette and Therese. They along with Rose from the farm shared a special girls retreat with Hallel and the little sisters in KCK after Thanksgiving. We are so blessed to have our nun showing her nieces and nephews what a life lived for Jesus looks like!
Maria and her 7 with St Therese before they left for their 8 hour trip home. Thankfully the roads were good and they are now safe on base at Fort Riley, KS!
Youngest grandchild, Lucy, napping on grandpa's shoulder after The Mass of the Baptism of Jesus ending our Christmas Season.
We surely filled the church with our 5 families sharing mass in Tracy!
The Birthday girl was 2 on Saturday in her Christmas shirt and a precious smile!
Pat and I were the breakfast cooks and Big Dave jumped in to help us on Sunday morning. Pancakes, bacon and eggs!
Birdie with Santa
The Dance - Church Clap!
Love this of our oldest grandchild, Simon, dancing with our youngest of 23 Lucy.
Simon sets the pace for all the younger cousins! How we love to see him into the dance! A new tradition began last year where we go to carol at the nursing home nearby the Camp. Lorraine heard us singing and came to join. She had tears in her eyes to see all the little ones.
Nancy's 3 year old Regina gave her a hug. A small but very big special moment for Lorraine. Such a reminder of how lonely some can be, and makes me want to go more often. It has added such depth and love to our VCC! Thanks to our Maria, who arranged this time before the 10:30a mass on Sunday.
Pat and his cousin, Tom, and our family around him.
It was still Christmas as we went next to celebrate Mass together - The Baptism of Jesus!
The fox that visited us.
Unicorn girls - Joy, Birdie, and Gina
sweetness in the air!
Pat and his little girls - both 3 - Gina Maria and Magdalene Rose.
Oh my!!!! Only Tom can get grandma to do this.
The 3 are now all 3 years old and are best buddies! How we love our groups of cousins growing up as best friends. Gina just facetimed grandpa hoping that he was in a tractor with Tommy.
We had 4 bunk rooms like this for our big wonderful families.
John's 3 going to camp with us - they call it Criss Cross Verly Camp after our Criss Cross Camp which is CCC the weekend before Christmas.

We have penciled in for over New Years next year at our new wonderful spot - The Eagles Nest! Rave reviews of our days together! I promise I will end this soon, but I am just so filled with happiness and JOy after our wonderful days together celebrating our family Christmas - one more with St Therese and Maria's family only missing Major Joseph.
VCC #5 - the crazy one! Our 4 kids on either side of us - Maria, Ruth, Nancy and John. Missing our nun, Hallel!Hallel with Ruth a week ago - such a gift that they were able to spend 3 days together in KCK. Ruth celebrated her 45th birthday with them and she had not been there for 7 years with her family of 9! They had an additional snow day as they got a foot of snow on Sunday!
The 3 boys are all 5 and great buddies!
Grandpa with a full lap of the 3 year olds!
Jude and our friendly bear - his name should be Criss Cross bear!
The snow in Fort Riley last week - it is about half melted now.
Our final pancake breakfast made by grandpa Pat, who is the new breakfast cook!
Wisdom from a little lady of the Lord - St Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Keep us Humble, O Lord!
LOVE this by dad's man, Brother Victor Antoine! The peaceful days of winter. Pat was just saying that they are going to do night time feeding in prep for calving - so hubby will be around more. Sigh!
