Exciting weekend in France for 3 Americans - 2 taking habit and one first vows!/God loves a cheerful giver. - +JMJ+

My mother and I and lilacs a number of years ago.  How I thought of my sweet mother yesterday on the feast of her beloved St Edith Stein/St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross!  How she loved her and wrote many stories about her and with her.  It is as though Hallel had to enter an order that looked to her as one of their patron Saints - her love of the Cross and The Lamb of God is what makes her beloved by The Community of the Lamb!
She discovered The Truth in Jesus and His Bride, The Catholic Church, and converted from Atheism to now a Saint!
She became a Caremlite nun!
Yes, she died in Auschwitz a martyr along with St Maximilian Kolbe, whose Feast is on Maria's birthday on Wednesday - August 14th!
I had an hour with him yesterday praying with 7 Sisters for Fr Denny, and another hour with him tomorrow night - the first hour of Monday!
St Max!!!
Nancy's 6 in Delano last week.  She has 3 losses, too.  They have a brother names Maximilian buried in the infant loss in our Catholic cemetery here.  Nancy lost him at 20 weeks in the womb.
Nancy's two youngest - George, who is one of the three 5 year old boys, and Regina Maria who is 2 1/2yo with Tommy.

A year ago the county fair was going on now - it will be here next week... I am the photo lady since I took so many over the years.  No longer - I now share them here on my blog.
Therese with our first eggs a year ago - we now have our new chickens laying about 7 a day.  Therese also helped at the fair with my photography judging.  This year John will be my much needed assistant.
Joy and Tom found 7 eggs yesterday.  They said that the chickens pecked at their bare feet and Tom screamed at them...
Go change your world!
St Max got it!
We would always go to mass on the Vigil of The Assumption on Maria's birthday!
John's oldest Jude Dale is going to HRS -our 7th grandchild with at least 3 more to go!  He is in the third row from top the second one in!
Jesus, I trust in you!
The worst sin - taking the lives of the innocent in the womb!
Jesus, my all in all!  LOVE the words of St Paul today to the Corinthians - God loves a cheerful giver - help me O Lord to be more willing to give without counting the cost!  Jesus, I trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33

I am watching 2 American girls take their habits that we have learned to love from their time in KCK

St Dominic gave us the Rosary - my prayer without ceasing!/Hallel to France today/Farm Fest and National Farmer day -+JMJ+

These two are Irish cousins as they are only 4 weeks apart for the rest of their lives!  They posed for old grandma with some flowers from Ruth's beautiful perennial garden. It made me giggle to see them each in a Christmas shirt from Verly and Cross Christmas Camps.  It shows that they get used, and imagine all the hand me downs that these littlest of our grandkids will get over the years!
Hot and excited in the corn field picking sweet corn for our big supper on the farm with Nancy's family and Ruth's = 13 kids and 5 adults.  Lots of corn and burgers on the grill!
Tom showing Gina how to chase chickens... oh the Adventures they will share over their lives sharing time on the farm!
Tom loved all the big equipment at Farm Fest yesterday with mom dad and 5 siblings and 3 cousins!
Working the Pork chop booth!  Poor military boy, Patrick, sure missed being there.  He wears pork chop shirts one after the other!
Friends/cousins for life - Rose and Berna are just 6 months apart and best buddies
Today is St Dominic Feast Day!  He is the patron of Hallel's order - The Community of the Lamb, and also we have a grandson, Dominic.  Here he is with Hallel and the icon of St Dominic 9 years ago.  He is now 10, and is at Farm Fest for the second day in a row - now with grandpa Pat.

How I love my Rosary that we received from Our Lady to St Dominic!  It is constantly with me each day!  Prayer without ceasing.  I was repeating it to myself last night in the pasture when we had a couple calves out of their pasture and a lot of back and forth with them.

I am also soon to be praying for each of my kids - one on each of the 5 decades.  Most especially for Hallel who is flying to France today to make one of her final steps to becoming a French citizen.  She will be gone for a month and return on Sept 6th.  We are so thankful that she is in KCK!
In Lourdes with John in 2009 shortly after he was diagnosed with brain cancer and Hallel took her habit in France and changed her name from Susan to little sister Hallel!  Nancy shared this picture this morning along with a note Hallel sent her recently about a book Nancy has written about Saints!

Last year my sister sent me a little note of thanks for The Saints and the Call to Friendship with Christ. She wrote:
"Nancy, we love your saint book. We enjoy reading about the saints over breakfast, and we reach for your book first. This morning I read the story and I was in tears by the end. We all were! The way you tell the stories of the saints is so beautiful. This will call many people to an authentic friendship with Jesus, even those already wearing a habit!
A big thank you from all of us!"

The 9 grandkids at Farm Fest yesterday and many of them returned with grandpa today, which is the last day!  Next week the county Fair!
Pat out in the pasture with me assisting.  How I love to watch him at work and pray to Our Lady for all to go well.  Jesus we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33

46th Anniversary - You must have Reconciliation to begin year #47!/Sweet corn and apples galore soon!/Transfiguration - GLORY! - +JMJ+

46 years has made quite a difference in the two of us - our family has expanded to 34, and there are 13 in heaven that keep our eyes on heaven and staying on the narrow path there!  Our 7 children and 6 grandchildren seem to be the theme of being open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS!  Sharing that loss of LIFE makes us cherish those that we are able to share life here on earth with!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"

46 years with Our Lady and Lord assisting us as we long to climb the Mountain to see His Glory!  Today is the Feast of the Transfiguration, and it is especially wonderful and full of glorious LIGHT this year.

Pat and I went to 8a mass on our anniversary on Saturday the 3rd of August.  It was First Saturday with Mass, followed by the Rosary shared and Reconciliations happening with 2 priests.  Pat and I were especially impressed with the 2nd Luminous Mystery we prayed - The wedding at Cana!  It was most powerful to hear that it became a Sacrament with Our Lady's help asking for the first Miracle from her Son, Jesus Christ!

3 years ago I got roses... this year a small bouquet from my garden .

Pat went to confession, but I just did not feel well - a bit hung over after too much wine- I am ashamed to admit.  I just could not make my way into that small box with my upset mind, and stomach...  I felt deep shame, and confessing that was too painful.

For our Anniversary we went to a special gathering in New Ulm with Jeff Cavins and Matt Mayer.  While Matt was playing they had Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Bishop Chad and... many priests hearing Reconciliation during.  The Lord really wanted me to get our 47th year off to a clean start.  I still hesitated, but....  I did it!  It really allows me to get a new and fresh start!  I long to do better with my sins, and to have them forgiven is a great gift to me.  I am weak and lowly and need your help my Lord and Lady!

My home garden bouquet with my mom and dad... they were married for 70 years and brought our family of 13 into The Catholic Church 53 years ago!  Each day since is a gift to me!  They both died in 2020 just 7 months apart... dad came to my farm monastery to live with me for the last 6 months of his life on hospice!  Such a special blessing to me!  We prayed morning and evening prayer together every day and chaplet and rosary on the porch at 3p each day.

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Deacon Robert Cross - my dad on hospice in our Farm Monastery for 6 months - 4/16/20 thru 10/23/20

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!

Dad and I in St Croix Falls, WI for mom's funeral Mass a few months after her death in a day.  I was tremendously blessed to share in his Religious LIFE for the last 6 months of his life here on the farm.  Dad was a Permanent Deacon in The Catholic Church for 44 years!

The Lord and Lady made a way for our nun to visit home while her grandfather was there.  She had not seen him since she left for France 12 years before.  I was in heaven sharing in both the religious life of Deacon Robert and our Little Sister Hallel!

Not only does the Lord make sure that I get into the Confessional.  He also spoils me with so much Beauty and TRUTH!

This is still on my wall!  Yes, I am spoiled and want to remember it, and cherish it!

Also leave it all in the Confessional and begin again with JOY!
Mary some years ago at the Fair - it begins next week for us here in Marshall!
Taylors Falls on one side and St Croix Falls on the other side of the St Croix River - separated Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Love me some Pope Benedict XVI and the Truth about Mary!
Sweet Corn day is now behind us - we only did 6 pails this year with the help of Ruth and the farm kids!
Even Big Dave took a hand at the knife!
Farmer Pat was a big help - how we love our family putting up food days!  We now have a huge applesauce canning days ahead!  Lord and Lady help us!

Gloria Purvis' Full Speech at the National Eucharistic Congress - YouTube  - I am listening to this while I write as Hallel attended the Congress and specifically told me that I should listen to her!  How she loves The Church!

Matt Mayer was a special gift to Pat and I on our Anniversary!
The Lord's Prayer

Every day on the Rosary I pray for the 23 grandchildren, 5 children, 4 spouses, and the 13 in heaven!
Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to see your Glory!  May I always follow you without counting the cost!  Jesus, I trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33

Gospel Mk 9:2-10

Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother John,
and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves.
And he was transfigured before them,
and his clothes became dazzling white,
such as no fuller on earth could bleach them.
Then Elijah appeared to them along with Moses,
and they were conversing with Jesus.
