I feel a bit crispy tonight - mowing the lawn for the first time, and then Pat invited me to come out to the pasture while he hooked up the solar fencer... an hour and a half later we got back and he still didn't have it working properly...

Sitting in the hot sun with a nice breeze to keep the bugs away with my rosary, camera, and cell phone... Pat would call me time to time to turn on and off the fencer as he tried to find the "short" without success.
My shirt became a billowing tent to keep the sun off.... Finally we called it enough, and...

got home just as John arrived home to help Pat and Paul put cows and calves out on grass. We hope to take some time to celebrate Mother's day while he is here, but it looks like I will be leaving soon for Missouri and so it is nice to just know he is here and to get a hug and a smile and a "I love you mom!" as we pass each other...

The grandkids were here too! Family time in the heat and the sun... Life is good!
