Giving away love for moms.

Motherhood is so close to my heart!  It is all that I ever wanted to accomplish and I realized that it was a lifelong job and JOY!  It just seems right to sacrifice my personal mother's day to make other mothers feel the specialness that they deserve and need to take on this wonderful vocation!  We are all here as a result of our mother's saying yes to life and then nurturing us from that point forward.

Tonight the last 50 roses were put in baskets and Pat and I took them to the final mass of the day - 6:30p at the college.  It was a special time to get more hugs and smiles and thank yous from many!  I saw so many wonderful women today and last evening at all the masses!  I got many hugs and reminders of all the prayers that they showered upon our family over the last almost 2 years!  I had my wonderful daughter bring me an edible planter with my three grandkids in the midst of the rain and the craziness - I got showered with love and hugs and kisses!  I cried numerous times throughout the day, and mostly happy tears!  It is right that I do this for other mothers as I feel we are the way for the world to come back to a culture of LIFE!  We bring Life into the world and care for it and teach those precious little ones how to love and follow Christ with his own wonderful Mother standing at his side!
And those dads are very important too, and mine is a wonderful involved and loving dad and allowed me to be open to life always even with 6 losses - he never said stop!  All 11 of our children are rejoicing today and showering their mom with love from heaven and all corners of the world here below - even Rome!  Jesus, thank you for this opportunity to honor the most important vocation of motherhood!  How you cherish and honor yours - Mary Mother of the Universe!  Jesus and Mary show us the way to bring us to the culture of LIFE!  Jesus, we trust in you!

Bless-bless, Barb

To the Virgin Immaculate

"O Virgin Immaculate, Mother of God and my Mother, from thy sublime height turn upon me thine eyes of pity. Filled with confidence in thy goodness and knowing full well thy power, I beseech thee to extend to me thine assistance in the journey of life, which is so full of danger for my soul. And in order that I may never be the slave of the devil through sin, but may ever live with my heart humble and pure, I entrust myself wholly to thee. I consecrate my heart to thee for ever, my only desire being to love thy divine Son Jesus. Mary, none of thy devout servants has ever perished; may I too be saved. Amen."
