A fun crazy picture from our time in France exactly 2 years ago for Hallel's final vows! We moved the mountain of 19 family there to support Susan/Hallel as she spoke these words - "I promise unto death."
My day has escaped me as we had 5 pails of tomatoes to can today... as dad and I did morning prayer the words from Psalm 90 spoke to us of our work we do praying each day, but also the work we had ahead of making food for 7 families. My hands are burning from cleaning 50 jalapenos for the 80 pints of salsa we made, plus 12 quarts of juice, and 15 quarts of stewed!
Show forth your work to your servants; *
let your glory shine on their children.
Let the favor of the Lord be upon us: †
give success to the work of our hands, *
give success to the work of our hands.
Psalm 90
Give success to the work of our hands. We do the work prayer and making food for our 7 families!let your glory shine on their children.
Let the favor of the Lord be upon us: †
give success to the work of our hands, *
give success to the work of our hands.
Psalm 90
Beautiful bumper crop of tomatoes. The next canning will happen when Maria is here! We will do tomatoes next week as they will be here on Tuesday. We will move over to Ruth's canning kitchen as the apples are there, and most of the tomatoes! Maria loves all the wonderful food we make - her kids think that our applesauce is dessert, and moan over our tomato soup!
Salsa just an inch from the top of the huge 40 quart pan we fill regularly...
Teaching another family how to can our salsa.
Enough for today..I am filled with many emotions with a lot pulling at me. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara
The birthday girl - Bobbi with her sweet Birdie Barbara, and their Goddaughter, 3 year old Joy! Happy Birthday wonderful Bobbi! We love you!
