With his daddy at mass this morning bathed in the LIGHT! The strong Truth that we gained from the Readings today is that of forgiveness as we have been so generously forgiven! Return the mercy and love that we are showered with my Our Lord!
Tom and mommy, Ruth. It was a great JOY for me to sit in front of Ruth, Paul and family this morning at mass. It was so reminiscent of when it was Pat, I and our 4 girls and John. The singing is much similar to the Protestant singing I was raised with. To hear the singing out of Simon, Mary, Ruth and Luke - most all the family! Powerful, Joyful and filled with passion for our Lord!
I also smiled deep down when Ruth behind me said with conviction - "Lord, I am worthy that you should enter under my roof. Only say the word and my soul shall be healed."
Why would that be a source of joy for me? There is a cute story of the young 3-4 year old Rose Again. She had heard her name in mass - in the Creed - Rose Again! Later she said; "But mom where is your name in mass? I know mom - 'I am not worthy for you to enter under my ruth!"
David after an overnight with a friend is happy to see his brothers. Simon home for Sioux Falls for a family gathering at the Lanoue Park for Great-grandpa George's 90th Birthday Party!
Lots of smiling and sharing after sharing the best hour of our week together - Mass with Jesus with us in Word, Body and Blood! How I love to hear Simon's voice behind me at mass, and younger brother, Luke, is also gifted with a wonderful voice and is following the example of his big brother!
Now grandpa with Tom as we are getting ready to go and get the food for our family brunch at the farm. How we love to share our Joy together with a wonderful meal using our farm fresh eggs.
Tom goes hungry and was eating doughnut holes as we traveled through Aldi. He probably had about 6 by time we got up to pay for them including the 6 in his tummy.
The 2 birthday boys 8 years ago! Pat and Romeo had their birthday on Friday - Sept 15th - they are 60 years apart! Pat was 69 and Romeo was 9! It was the first day of our State Birthright Conference.
Such a wonderful group of our local ladies - thank you!
MaryAnn wih the wonderful sliders we had for our light meal on Friday.
The singing Q's were our entertainment that evening. They were thoroughly enjoyed by all!
"It is good that we are here." Dr Jerry Joyce spoke to us about how the abortion pill can be reversed with Progesterone! Thank you, Lord!
Cultural viewpoints of Hmong and Hispanic women - very good and both spoke to family values that support LIFE more than not.
Morning sun on the door prize that I won - a beautiful purple mum which was a centerpiece on the tables.
The second reading from mass today from Romans 14 is how we are to live our life for Jesus!Reading 2 Rom 14:7-9
Brothers and sisters:
None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself.
For if we live, we live for the Lord,
and if we die, we die for the Lord;
so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.
For this is why Christ died and came to life,
that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
Tom goes to Sioux Falls for a checkup on Tuesday - he is still not walking but moves by crawling and seems totally comfortable. It would appear that he is healing quickly and well, but it will be great to get that from the doctors too, and to see him start to take steps! None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself.
For if we live, we live for the Lord,
and if we die, we die for the Lord;
so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.
For this is why Christ died and came to life,
that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
Yes! Such an amazing Truth is LIFE! It should be protected and cherished from conception to natural death. May we die to self so that we may serve as parent, wife, grandparent without counting the cost. Bless-bless, Barbara and the 33 plus many Little Sisters and Little Brothers!
"Our Redeemer ever present
in the most Blessed Sacrament,
extends His hands to everyone.
He opens His heart and says,
'Come to Me, all of you.'"
