Tom at the pool party on Sunday in Delano at Nancy's home. He had so much fun - all the cousins except for big sister, Mary. 22 kids playing in the pool!
Here we are at Friday and now gathered around our sweet 21 month old grandson, Tom, in prayer. Grandma helping out during the day while the kids are back at school and mom and dad are busy on their properties in town. We are so grateful that he is home healing with no surgery or cast needed for his broken pelvis. He will take it at his own speed, and so he does! Currently taking his morning peaceful healing nap. The best!

Tom woke up kind of unhappy this morning until grandpa took him outside on the porch to see his doggy and a sweet kitten. Tom smiled, breathed in the fresh wonderful morning air, and got some kisses from his puppy! .jpg)
Grandpa's big strong hands cradling his healing pelvis.
Looking around with the help of his grandpa. So nice to get off his back and be where he loves to be for a bit outside.
Watching his dog running back and forth with the kitties.
A quick time outside to see what is going on...
A happy boy to be back home and healing more and more with each new day.
Waiting for the dog, Teddy, to come and say "Hi" to his Tom. Due to the drought the crops on the horizon are dead and have turned golden. Some farmers have already started to combine beans around us. It will be an early harvest this year, and probably much less than we had hoped for.
"Teddy!!"
There he is! He loves his Tommy!
Tom was very happy when he came back in - he ate a good breakfast and played with his trucks and took his medicine like a trouper. He is now peacefully taking his healing nap for this morning.
He loves breakfast sandwiches and ate almost an entire one.
Grandpa steps in to spend some time with his little buddy... Tom smiles when he sees him!
Yes, we are using Daniel Tiger and Bluey, but he plays quite a bit and looked long and hard at this special book - Otis - with a sweet old tractor and a calf... Brumm and Mooo!
Grandma trying to say her rosary didn't last very long. Today is a big day for that and constant prayers to Our Mother of God - Mother Mary - instead of Christmas for the birth of her Son of God - today is Marymas for her day of birth!
Grandpa's huge hands and big shoulder give Tom a new position to rest. He then had some time on his tummy on a pillow on the floor to play with his trucks, siblings and baby kittens!
Nothing better than to be home and able to rest and heal and smile and giggle and time to time be sad - that is how our life is...
So comforted by our Spiritual Mother these days and today is one of huge JOY and celebration - the Birth of Mary the Mother of God! "Mary, graced by a singular honor and vocation, was preserved from the slightest taint of original sin from the first moment of her conception. In celebrating her birthday, we celebrate the beginning of a life of total and yet ever deepening union with God - a union that allowed Mary to become God's own Mother..."Bringing in the basket of 7 kittens was some fun for Tom.
The first reading today from Romans 8
We know that all things work for good for those who love God,
who are called according to his purpose.
For those he foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son,
so that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers.
And those he predestined he also called;
and those he called he also justified;
and those he justified he also glorified.
who are called according to his purpose.
For those he foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son,
so that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers.
And those he predestined he also called;
and those he called he also justified;
and those he justified he also glorified.
This speaks to me of both Tom and Our Lady. Tom was protected and is now teaching us all that he is in the hands of Jesus, Mary and Joseph and taking his healing as he feels up to moving more. We certainly love Tom and we love God, and with prayer and patience he will come back to himself.
With Romans 8 - looking at Mary - she was predestined and called and justified and now is to be glorified on her day of Birth and each of the wonderful Feast Days of The Church we have to honor her and show her our LOVE and devotion!
Grandma, Tom and Kitten to pass the time. The peaceful nap time is a gift to both of us!

What a lucky boy - a basket full of kittens

"This is my stop." Farmboy and Farm animals dancing.
Such a wonderful day of celebration!

Today we celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It's a day of festivity in several countries: India, where Catholics take part in the "Monti Fest" and shower a statue of Mary with flowers; France, where winegrowers bring their best grapes to the local church and place them in the hands of Mary; and Malta, where the people honor "Marija Bambina" with brass bands, fireworks, and processions.
How I love to consider those hidden years he had with Mary and Joseph! So true!
Infertile to having this most Blessed Daughter - Immaculate Mary!
Oh my! LOVE this so much, and find so much peace as the beads pass through my fingers and prayer fills my heart, mind and soul! Hail Mary, Full of Grace. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Luke 1
St Joseph reminding me to look to him in prayer as he protects Jesus and Tom!
A miracle at World Youth day - "The Blind will see!"
My heartfelt prayer as I stagger down the narrow path carrying/dragging my Most Cherished Cross with heaven forever as my goal.
The 3 little ones the day before Tom got hurt. So many prayers now surrounding our sweet boy. He is still, for the most part, a happy sweet boy. Jesus, hold him in the palm of your hand. Jesus, Mary and Joseph pray for your sweet, Thomas Robert. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara and the 33 plus many Little Sisters and Little Brothers.
"When the most holy Virgin was born,
the whole world was made radiant;
blessed is the branch and blessed is the stem
which bore such holy fruit."

of the BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

"This radiant and manifest coming of God to men
most certainly needed a joyful prelude
to introduce the great gift of salvation to us.
most certainly needed a joyful prelude
to introduce the great gift of salvation to us.
The present festival, the birth of the Mother of God,
is the prelude, while the final act is the foreordained
union of the Word with flesh. Today the Virgin is born,
tended and formed, and prepared for her role as
Mother of God, who is the universal King of the ages."
St Andrew of Crete, bishop - Oratio 1: pg 97
Raul Berzosa ~ Holy Mother
“Another woman is now given thee in place of the first, a
prudent and humble Eve instead of the proud and foolish one,
an Eve who shall offer thee, not the tree of death but the
Bread of Life, and who shall yield thee, not the poisoned fruit
of bitterness but the delicious fruit of immortality.
Change thou, therefore, the wicked words of self-excuse
into the voice of praise and thanksgiving, and say to the Lord,
into the voice of praise and thanksgiving, and say to the Lord,
‘The woman whom Thou gavest me, gave me of the
tree of life and I did eat; and it has become in my mouth
sweeter than honey, because in it Thou hast given me life.'
tree of life and I did eat; and it has become in my mouth
sweeter than honey, because in it Thou hast given me life.'
Behold here the purpose for which the Angel was sent from God
to the Virgin. O Virgin, worthy of all admiration, deserving of
all honour! O most wonderful of women and venerable over all.”
St Bernard of Clairvaux

"Death through Eve, life through Mary."
Saint Jerome
