Happy Birthday Susan/Hallel! Due to the wedding and our wish to have you there with us... we now have the "paper Susan" as Simon calls you! It is a small joy that we indulge now and then to have you with us and our arms around you! We are thinking of you today, and will be having a breakfast party to celebrate your day shared with Simon, your dad, and Goddaughter, Therese!

Getting your room ready for the newly weds... as they come home for the first time as a married couple... and feeling close to you as your birthday is today... I had to get some of the things there that you left behind, but speak to us of you... This old picture of the immaculate heart of Mary... is special for all of us on this Saturday feast day of The Blessed Virgin Mary! She can relate to all of our sufferings... as she suffered as no other for her Son and her God! Turn to her... she understands and is filled with compassion for us and will bring us to Him for healing and wholeness!

This has been a constant companion to you throughout your journey of faith... the image of Christ in tears out of love and suffering for us... was an important image for you to have with you and to meditate upon. Now it is there for us to ponder and to remember how it touched you and brought you to the realization that He was the Love of your Life!

Waking in your room this morning... will bring sadness yet closeness to you for the newly married couple... as Nancy shared in your birthday letter... she loves you deeply and prays for your happiness and Joy... we must give you up in many ways, yet gain your wisdom and love in other ways!

Our lives are richer and our hearts are pierced with a sword for not having you close... hence we are forever changed and turn to our faith to understand and find strength!

Susan/Hallel has been called to leave all for her spouce, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ...Psalm 45
"Listen, O daughter, give ear to my words:
forget your own people and your father's house.
So will the king desire your beauty:
John came home for the first time in about 3 weeks too! After a year together... the warm embrace and words; "I missed you mom and I love you!" still bring tears to my eyes! We are forever closer after the last year... we joked that the umbililcal cord had reappeared!

Back to Hallel... she had to go around the yard for her birthday card that I hope has arrived for her today!
"She is led to the king with her maiden companions.
They are escorted amid gladness and joy;
"I will espouse you to me forever: I will espouse you in right and in justice, in love and in mercy: I will espouse you in fidelity, and you shall know the Lord." Hosea 2: 21-22

Susan always loved the farm and the cows.. Her room is now John's room and the border around the room is cows per her request and she helped me put them there... There are stories in France of her trying to put a calf back with it's mother, when she thought that it had gotten on the wrong side of the fence...Saint Pierre is in a rolling farmland in Southern France and she can see farming and cows in the distance... it gives her great joy!

"To the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor, glory and might, forever and ever." Rev 5:13
In the community of the Lamb... they concentrate on the Lamb, who sacrificed his life as an unblemished Lamb of God to give us life and LOVE!

I was just thinking about the "fruitful virginity" of the Blessed Mother, but also of Hallel and all those priests and religious that take a vow of chastity.. so that they can bear Christ to the world in prayer and in approaching those around them with arms open wide to comfort them and allow them to see and know Christ though them!

"You have been blessed, O Virgin Mary, above all other women on earth by the Lord the most high God; He has so exalted your name that your praises shall never fade from the mouths of men." (see Judith 13:23,25)

Today the Gospel is the sower and the seed...Luke 8:4-15
"But as for the seed that fell on rich soil, they are the ones who, when they have heard the word, embrace it with a generous heart, and bear fruit through perseverance."

I just found out something that gave me great joy, and I shouted out; "John Paul II is now vernerable... on his way to Sainthood!" The quote today on Generating the Seed, The Word of God is by him! I know that Hallel loves him, her wise and wonderful Church, and most of all her amazing Word of God! I have shared how they "chew" the Gospel of each day starting the night before and throughout the day! So that they may become the Word and bear it to the world!
"Following the example of Mary, who kept and pondered in her heart everything relating to her divine Son, the Church is committed to preserving the Word of God and investigating its riches and discrenment and prudence, in order to bear faithful witness to it before all mankind in every age..." Venerable John Paul II

"Given Mary's relationship to the Church as an exemplar, the Church is close to her and seeks to become like her: "Imitating the Mother of her Lord, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, she preserves with virginal purity an integral faith, a firm hope, and a sincere charity." Mary is thus present in the mystery of the Church as a model."

"But the Church's mystery also consists in generating people to a new and immortal life: this is her motherhood in the Holy Spirit. And here Mary is not only the model and figure of the Church; she is much more. For, "with maternal love she cooperates in the birth and developement" of the sons and daughters of Mother Church."

"The Church's motherhood is accomplished not only according to the model and figure of the Mother of God but also with her "cooperation." The Church draws abundantly from this cooperation, that is to say, from the maternal mediation which is characteristic of Mary, insofar as already on earth she cooperated in the rebirth and developement of the Church's sons and daughters, as the Mother of that Son whom the Father "placed as the first-born among many brethern." Venerable John Paul II

Well, I will share that I am totally adoring of JPII and cannot cut off any of his words! The first 27 years of my marriage are molded and filled with him as my pope and Holy Father!

The house will soon be full of loud crazy kids and Hallel will love to hear all about it when we try to talk to her in France today! How she loved to hear about Simon talking with laughter about "the paper Susan starting on fire when she blows out her birthday candles!"

She will love to hear about Mary in the feed bunk yesterday.. petting Snowball! And how Simon had a movie theater set up in front of the TV and she had a seat too!

We are having Krusties pancakes this morning and that happened to be our breakfast every morning in France and there are many stories related to them and Hallel... So we will have to put a candle in one for Hallel and the kids will have to help her blow it out!

I know that in two days... she will be thinking and praying for her sweet Simon as he turns 6 just two days after her... they have celebrated together with great joy over the years of his life!

This great picture he drew of her with her "veil" on her head...I know she will laugh and be touched by his "gift" to her... what did we send her? Each wrote her a letter and sent some candy!
Dearst loving Lord... you called our beautiful daughter to be your spouce... we are thrilled and rejoice with you today as you pour special blessings upon her on her 25th birthday! WE share your love and joy with her beauty and devotion to you! Jesus we trust in you! Amen and Halleluia!
Bless-bless, Barb
