Up to the State Fair tomorrow - a double batch of soup done!

Three generations got the double batch or tomato soup done  today.  Now we are up early to take in the State Fair and see John for a few more hugs....  We will have Ruth, Paul and the kids in tow and go to mass on the Fairgrounds in the morning - it will be dark when we hit the road! That's a big bowl of soup Mary!  For the final tally - 33 quarts or 8 gallons of soup!  It was so good that Mary couldn't stop tasting it!  The kids gathered around - It's lunch time! What could be better than tomato soup - so fresh and good made from vegetables and tomatoes growing on the plant just a few hours before!  Yummy!Ruth gets it in the jars and then takes her 3 home for naps... a big job done with lots of good help! Now that's a pretty sight!  And it tastes great in the winter...we especially love it on Friday nights during Lent!  It is a tradition in our family to have tomato soup on Friday nights!Bless all families on this last weekend of the summer... give them safe fun and close sharing as we head into a new school year.  Bless John as he heads back to college after a year off to beat cancer!  Jesus we trust in you!  Amen and Halleluia!Bless-bless, Barb and family
