Gus can sit up and reach for things and that included Herbie...the soft white belly begged to be rubbed and grabbed with baby fingers. Gus giggled and Herbie begged to go out in the drippy weather. Nancy and I have been busy with a labor of love today - working on a banner for the big 40th anniversary of our family becoming Catholic this weekend. Following an inspiration of Hallel where on my 60th birthday - she looked at the 60th psalm to "hear" a word of inspiration from the Lord - "I think that you are being called to praise the Lord in all things this year!" Wow! That is something to take to heart always in our lives, and such a powerful reminder to this 60 year old lady!

We were overjoyed to find some powerful words about our journey - Catholic/spiritual journey in Psalm 40..."I waited patiently for the Lord; he drew me up and set my feet on a rock... He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord." It is so cool to follow this idea of Hallel's and receive special words of wisdom and blessing in this fun and easy way. Come Holy Spirit and be our guest! Gus got to have his first bubble sink after he got messy eating applesauce and cottage cheese for lunch. He thought that it was great fun!
Looking at each other from arm's reach... Gus would like to feel that soft fur in his little hands though, but Herbie prefers it this way!

Gus is a sweet boy, and we are enjoying him so much! Thank you, Lord, and bless-bless!
