Finding warmth under the tree...

It's a brown winter outside at our farm, but a cold southwest wind is blowing to make it feel really cold out there tonight.  Last winter Pat had gotten two kittens for the grandkids, and their favorite thing was to climb in the branches of the Christmas tree.  Now Herbert is a very large full grown cat and our tree is about 1/2 the size of our old one.  He was playing with the lower ornaments yesterday, before I threw him outside to cool off.  Today he seemed to find some comfort laying on under the tree and taking a nap on the tree skirt that my dad made for me.  Maybe back in his kitten memory bank he remembers the times he shared with his sister, who now lives in Wisconsin and the times they entertained the grandkids by playing in the tree, and gave me a few more gray hairs!
Kitten Herbie a year ago with a little Dave in his warm winter jammie watching him... Happy warm family times.

Bless-bless, Barb with many gray hairs!
