This was the day of John's appreciation gathering at Ruth and Paul's the summer of 2009... we had just gotten back from St Joe's and were hopeful that the tumor had gone for good... Little did we know that it was just the beginning of our journey. I looked at the huge mass of clouds reaching to the heavens and John standing in front of it - his precious head had revealed that there was something foreign and scary in his brain. Within a week we were to trust in the Lord as a biopsy was done on him in Rochester to discover the diagnosis - PCNSL - Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma! The majesty and beauty of the clouds revealed the truth that we soon discovered - Jesus is in control and you can trust that He will heal John and the resulting answer to his half-hearted prayer for Faith is the new John. John just called to say that he will be on retreat for the week at a Franciscan retreat house... sounds super wonderful! Pray for me John! I pray for you every day.
