"Every day since we have gotten back from Texas has been COLD!" Patrick Verly

I have always noticed this checkboard brindle face cow in the herd.  She is close to calving so is locked up in the barn with the cow camera in it.  The other day she was drinking out of the blue water tank with our dog, Lilly, as the snow blew around them.  Pat was remembering that we arrived home from Texas about 2 weeks ago - while we were gone there were a couple days above freezing and the manure got soft enough for him to clean out the barns after we got back... it has been frigid every day since, and Pat marvels that he got things cleaned out barely as now everything is frozen solid out there - Minnesota cement/ice is getting old to say the least.

I am in the mood to borrow some pictures from my daughter's blogs tonight - here is one from Maria's of her two Texas boys.  We noticed, when we were there with them a couple weeks ago, that little Dave does call his brother, Patrick, buddy all the time.  Well, Maria shared that this is the case and they are truly buddies with this heartwarming "buddy pose!"  So great and warms this grandma suffering from all the cold's heart like nothing else!

Then how's this for a real heartwarmer from Ruth's blog?  Two little sweet baby pigs from her visit to her brother-in-law's pig farm over the weekend.  Such adorable fuzzy faces!

And it looks like Rose might not be nearly as scared of baby pigs as she is of those calves on our farm.  They are a lot smaller to.  It looks like she is not too sure of having that pig foot on her leg...

And now from Nancy's family blog - http://thegreatgusadventure.blogspot.com/  this is a great one of Patrick in the Texas warmth!

A great one of my beautiful Therese... I think I am missing not only the nice warm 75 degree weather, but my Texas family!

Sunny girls - cousins Therese and little Bernadette!

Gus and St Michael!

Remembering the prayer and healing at St Patrick's Cathedral with a healed Patrick!  Now filled with the warmth of Faith/family /farm I am off to bed under 2 comforters.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
