Flower children/calves

11 year old Ruth with her calf, Winnie, in 1991.  Showing how tame she is - both have a black eyed Susan behind their ears - flower child style!

Mary named this calf Banana - looking for a "B" name to go with her mom Bertha.  This was taken in the summer of 2010.
David at almost 3 - shows Banana the pink daisy..
Putting it behind her ear.  Between Dave and I...
We get it there!
Grandpa and Dave with Bertha and Banana... Bertha was so tame that we could have gotten her to wear a daisy, but didn't get there.   Bertha is no longer with the herd - we have such wonderful memories of her though.  Also many daughters in the herd still... including Banana, who had her first calf last week!

A closer look at Ruth and Winnie... sweet summer days!  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barb
