Aglow in the morning.... Applesauce for fresh eating

A smile for mom on this bright morning filled with lots of LIFE and Love and LIGHT!  With the hot sun streaming in the house at first light today and the addition of many little ones... it just seems like an especially bright day today.  We awake to the thought of making fresh applesauce from our tree breaking from the weight of too many apples this year, after a year of no apples last year.  I had the fun of getting Nancy's two youngest dressed, and then the phone call asking for Ruth to bring her 2 youngest over while David goes in to meet with his Kindergarten teacher this morning.
Family abounding in the hot weather.  Hard to think of the kids in school when it is so hot and muggy!  Lord, be with all the kids at school this first day of school.
Life is too crazy to write much today... I just wanted to get some pics here for Billy in Brazil!  WE miss you!

Cooling toes in the pool with one of my first morning glories - a good name for this day - Morning Glory!

This pail of apples is now on the stove and for lunch - Fresh applesauce!

Nancy cutting apples with her helper!
 Now 2 very cute helpers...
Apples are good to eat too!
Learning to do applesauce is a good time for the kids to get wet and eat apples...
The Gospel of the rich young man attached to his possessions reminds us to keep our eyes on Heaven and raise LIGHTS for the world sharing Family, Faith, and Farm work putting up food for 6 families.
Jesus, we love to share our JOY of working together and worshiping together and playing together.  Sharing our experience of making good food and then watching the little ones shovel in mouthful after mouthful of applesauce that had just been apples growing on the tree an hour before!  So fresh and wonderfully full of sunshine and all that wonderful nutrients nature puts into those wonderful red apples on the tree!  We are filled with Goodness from You and from all the wonders of your glorious earth. Thank you, Lord!  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Hallelujah
Filled with the Glory of the Morning!  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke the Crazy-Catholic!
"If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven."  Matthew 19:16-22 The Gospel for today - Jesus telling us what it takes to be better people!
One for Billy in Brazil... your older two on the warm farm - Gus and Rose went on the 4 wheeler with grandpa this morning to move the cows and calves from one pasture to the other.  "I told them to stay on the 4 wheeler while I moved the cows.  When the cows went through the gate, they got off and ran right where I wanted the cows to go.  That kind of back fired." shared grandpa
As Nancy said - "Rose when did you get so cute?"

Dominic taking in the farm... he is going to know this place really well over the next years!
On the tree growing/full of nature's goodness, and then into applesauce!
Luke is crawling and found grandma's pots and pans!  Maybe Dominic will be doing this this winter when they come while dad is traveling with work.
Gus watching grandpa put the apples through the colander.
About 15 quarts of applesauce from a big pail full... We will get over 100 quarts and lots to give away too!
