Some chuckles shared...

I borrowed this picture Paul took of David as he moved the cows from one pasture to the other tonight.  David starts kindergarten tomorrow and is very excited about this next step of his life.  He has had a big weekend away with family, and now he is dad's helper with work with the cows.
Last week Dave was around to play with Gus, as the kindergarteners start a week later than the others.  He just left here with his dad, but before he left we each got a wonderful hug from our bubbly energetic little boy!   We are all smiling after encountering his sweetness and excitement at his first day of school.  We knew that he needed to have some extra time to settle down and pay good attention to the teacher and since he has a July birthday... he will be a 6 year old and in a better place for starting school!  Bless-bless, Dave, share your light and listen well to your teacher.
At Nancy's last night after the State Fair for the older ones as I went up to see my parents.  They were sharing how naptime for the 2 toddlers and Gus was a bit of a disaster that afternoon.  Nancy walked into the bedroom where she had laid down the 3 - Bernadette in her crib and the other two in the bunkbeds- she found to her surprise, all 3 in the crib together jumping and being rowdy!  "How did you get into the crib, Gus?" asked his dad.  "Rosie showed me."  Is the answer from Gus.  Bernadette could be moving into the big bed soon...
Rose and Bernadette can share time together, and also share a crib at naptime but not to take a nap!
Yesterday was Ruth and Rose's feast day.... St Rose of Lima!  Ruth chose St Rose as her patron saint when she was confirmed.  And so when she considered naming her daughter Rose - Rose Ida just fit!  Ruth Ida Rose and Rose Ida had a special feast day yesterday!
Rose looking over the tomato soup she loves - all the grandkids love our soup, and that warms our hearts and makes all the work worth it.  Bless-bless, Barb
