First canning day... Salsa!!!

Ruth grew all the jalapenos this year, and she has more than we need.
Ruth and I have a way of canning that makes us smile... we throw everything we have ready into it and come up with whatever we come up with.  One thing we know is that we tend to get fill the pot up to very top!  I had to go home to get the HUGE pot to fit it all in!
Yes, our salsa calls for corn and beans, and since it is sweet corn time we cut it off the ears - fresh and the kids helped out.
David cutting and Rose is interested...

Cute Rose is happy to share in the day's work.
Too much for this pot... we had to get the really BIG one!
The BIG one almost as full with all the ingredients in it!  We got almost 50 pints of Salsa!  David with his famous thumbs up!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  GOOOOOOOOOOD!  David is trying it on a chip out of the Big Pot!  Nancy will be home for a week and we should be canning tomatoes and apples while she is here.  The big push of putting food up for 6 families has begun, and it is wonderful to have all the help from my girls, son, husband, and grandkids!  Family canning is a great time of putting up good food for many!  Farmlife is good!  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barb
Rose learning to stir... you will do a lot of that over the years, Rose!
It is a workout stirring this pot of yummy salsa!
