Goddaughter baby shower at the home of my mother

Pat's sister, Mary, and my granddaughter, Mary... we stopped in to let Mary see her great-grandmother before we left to put on a baby shower at my mother's home in Wisconsin.  Granddaughter Mary Lanoue prays for her great-grandmother daily for most of her 8 years of life.  On our 3 hour trip we prayed a decade of the rosary for great-grandmother. "She told me not to worry about her." said Mary.  "Praying for her is not worrying about her - it is lifting her up to Jesus for comfort and peace."   We also discussed that there are many people that have no one to pray for them, and that it is always good to include them when we are praying.  It was special to share prayer with 8 year old Mary on our trip in my chapel on wheels.
A tonguey smile from 8 month old Dominic when we arrived at Nancy's place.
A Valentine's heart from Bernadette to start this day.  Spending time with family is the best valentine I could hope for.  An hour on the phone with my hubby in the wee hours of the morning brings me lots of love and joy!
Catching Nancy's 3 together is tricky to do... always moving here and there.
18 months apart each...
Dominic holding his big cousin, Mary's hand at breakfast shared before we head up to the shower at my mom's for my Goddaughter, Erika.
Preparing the food and the decor.
Dominic thinks it looks very nice!
Starting to gather around Erika.
Lots of women and adorable little girls!  Dominic was the only boy there!
One more of this super cuteness!
Active and filled with LIFE party on this cold winter's day!

Erika shares her life with us, and we show our love and support and Austin start a family...exciting times ahead.
Bathed in the Light of my parents' home.  I am so lucky to have the two of them still with me.
Gathered around to celebrate new life!  Life is a gift no matter how small!
The many faces and emotions that belong to the small ones in attendance.
Goddaugther with her niece, Ada...soon to have a new cousin!
Piper with ladybug hat is framed by all those around her  but is the focus of the lens... the theme of the party - Baby LOVE and that is so true!  How we love all LIFE from connection to natural death.  At all the stages of life we find Jesus to share our journey - he asks us to take up our Cross and follow after HIM.
