Today on the feast of ST JPII, my hero and champion for LIFE and the family, my parents were doing their in chair physical therapy together like kicking one foot to the side 15 times and then the other. It was as if they were dancing together with great JOY to celebrate this wonderful Pope and Saint, who was so amazing to us as new converts 10 years after all 13 of us came into The Church!

I slept well on my couch for most of the night, with the plan of moving into bed with mom after dad rises at 5a, which is his normal waking time. We are making the new normal with the changes in their lives of leaving their home of 9 years an hour away in Wisconsin. We are getting things more to their liking and still some things they want to bring from their now empty house.
It is our family motto to allow mom and dad to have these late years of their marriage to enjoy each other. I have been impressed by how peaceful and content they seem to be here. There is a lot of care being given to them by nurse, PT, activities, and meals made for them and cleaned up for them. All they need do is enjoy each other's company! "I enjoy him!" my mother told the activity person yesterday when she was being interviewed.
Fun! Mom and I watching Antiques Roadshow while dad took a nap last night... How we love our time together!
They are certainly awake and awaiting their Lord!

and be like servants who await their master's return from a wedding,
ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks.
Blessed are those servants
whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival.

have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them.
And should he come in the second or third watch
and find them prepared in this way,

Over my parents bed... they are certainly awaiting the Lord's coming for them with their lamps lit!
Dad today teaching me about his being enlightened about our calling to be "Missionary Disciples." Sharing our Faith with our lamps lit as we await our Lord and trust in Him!
Jesus, I am yours and how I adore my most precious time with my wonderful parents still together in their new home with the motto of "time for them to enjoy each other and be safe and healthy as they can be!" Also the motto of the Community of the Lamb rings like a bell of Truth as we embrace our Most Cherished Cross and find LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT...

In my parent's home - my hero blessing the marriage of Ruth and Paul in November of 2003. Paul asking him for a happy healthy family, and it has been answered and continues to be answered to this very day! LOVE! Bless-bless, Barb
