Come and stay in my home/Such a grace filled Sunday!/time with Jesus, hubby, dad, Hallel

John spoiling me with a sweet picture of 9 day old Birdie... melts my heart with LOVE!  Mondays he has at home with his family and allows me to share in his sweet peaceful family time supreme! Our love only grows bigger with each new life in our family -  now #19 grandchild!
All I do is ask and John spoils me with a special picture of their little ones!  Both awake and happy last evening!  John reports that they are such good little ones for mom and dad.  Birdie is a good nurser and content.  Jude is wanting to share his toys with her, so it bears his being watched carefully.

Innocently wanting to play with this new little girl living with him and his parents now.
This melted my heart from John... His size 13s beside Jude's new walking shoes, and those are even a bit big on him.
Jude in dad's blue shoes from speech years... Little kids in big dad's shoes are my favorite!
My father being anointed by our parish priest/TEC friend, Fr Todd yesterday!

What an amazing Sunday it was here with so many graces and blessings and sacraments shared in our home on the farm!  The words of Lydia today in Acts echo the "miracle" my father has experienced after a long 3 hour trip through farm land a month ago.
Lydia offered us an invitation,
“If you consider me a believer in the Lord,
come and stay at my home,” and she prevailed on us.
Acts 16

Ringing like a bell in the time that my father and I share with the prayer of the Church throughout our days together.
United in prayer in our home as my father is on hospice and mass is now limited to 10 people?!?
Anointing of each hand and his forehead as part of the Sacrament of Healing/Anointing of the Sick.  Dad appreciates all the help he can get for this final stage of his life.
The anointing prayer that Father prayed over dad with the oil...

How we know of the Holy Spirit with us and in us on this journey of Hospice in our home.  Dad shared his conversion story with Fr Todd..."An entire convent of Charismatic nuns!  You had to become Catholic with that kind of prayer power guiding you into The Church!"  "So true Father!"

Jesus in the Sacrament of The Eucharist!  How we have hungered for Jesus in these weeks of Spiritual Communion away from mass except on the screen.
Praying the rosary and chaplet of Divine Mercy with my 2 men on a dark and rainy Sunday afternoon.  Our Lady of Guadalupe looks down upon us.   Many times dad will look up at her and say his "Hail Mary's" to her personally!

We had 3 calves born yesterday and only have 8 left to calf.  Soon the cows and calves will be out on the green pastures together enjoying the grass and water from the creeks!
Next we got to look into the eyes of our nun, Little Sister Hallel and her Community of the Lamb in KC!  Francis Xavier shared with us about Joy and how his birthday last week was filled with such wonderful spiritual gifts, which are the best gifts of all along with the songs and dessert parades we have experienced with them every time we share a meal over the years!  Joy indeed!
Deacon Robert and grandpa to Hallel/Susan gives his teaching about Joy in his life..."I learned at a retreat years ago that you find Joy by putting Jesus first, then others and 3rd yourself."
My father amazed that he can share with his nun granddaughter, who left for France 12 years ago, and that was the last time he saw her face to face!  "It is so wonderful that we can see her and talk to her and share with her in this way!"

They were amazed that my 95 year old father could teach them so powerfully and that he is the epitome of a 44 year Permanent Deacon in The Catholic Church!

Yes, the virus and closing of their masses and prayer has actually opened up for us this wonderful gift of such wonderful time with our nun and her Community of the Lamb!
Gathered around sharing from the heart about JOY!
Pat shared so beautifully about farm life - "Joy, my 3 year old granddaughter, was out with her mother the other night.  Joy would pick up the baby chicks and give them a kiss, and then squeal with delight at the calves running back and forth in the yard.  That mother and child sharing the wonders of LIFE on the farm to me speaks so much of the joys of life."

I think that Hallel loves to see her wonderful farmer dad and hear how much he loves his life of feeding the world.  Nancy put it so well on the Feast of St Isidore the Farmer a few days back...

Happy feast day to all farmers, but most especially this guy.

You taught me the definition of hard work, showed me the miracle of life(over and over), and helped me realize that you should love what you do. So grateful for my life on the farm.
Love you, dad. And so do the kids.
St Isidore, pray for us!
Dad getting a nice note from a Grandson last evening on his emails - he loves to hear from family and to look them in the eyes on Facetime and face to face when they can visit him here at my home.  When I invited him to come and stay in my home and share our Faith journeys together - he said "Yes!"  I am the lucky one!
Mondays we share morning prayer and then dad prays for his very large family - over 140!  First and middle names are his delight for praying for them in such a special way!  "Birdie Barbara" is now with us and #58 great -grands!  Dad is now wearing his summer night shirt thanks to my sister, Paula, looking out for him so well.
As the day unfolded for us yesterday... One blessing after another!  So much good and LOVE surrounding us thanks to the situation in the world due to the epidemic and that my father came here and went on hospice a month ago!  So much JOY from the Cross which became the Tree of LIFE and brought LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT into our world!
Walking into the sunset of our lives is just a part of LIFE and we all face it... knowing that beyond is LIFE eternal with our Lord, Jesus Christ, His Mother, Mary the Mother of God, and All the Saints in heaven!  LOVE!!!

Jesus, how we love you and adore you and are filled to overflowing with your special graces and gifts of  Jesus in Body, Blood and Word, your Sacraments and rosary prayer and chaplet of Divine Mercy, which we cling to these days of so many dying without prayers or spiritual support.  How we lift them up to your Mercy!  May we die to self so that you may use us to your honor and glory.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah

Today, we remember St. John I, who was imprisoned and killed because of his rejection of the Arian Heresy. May we have his courage to defend and explain our Faith.
Yes, Lord!  Make me brave in sharing the Truth!

JN 15:26—16:4A

Jesus said to his disciples:
“When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father,
he will testify to me.
And you also testify,
because you have been with me from the beginning.

“I have told you this so that you may not fall away.
They will expel you from the synagogues;
in fact, the hour is coming when everyone who kills you
will think he is offering worship to God.
They will do this because they have not known either the Father or me.
I have told you this so that when their hour comes
you may remember that I told you.”
