The shepherds and their wives and the sheep - hockey sticks were the perfect staff for the wise men
The Angels were there to lend their heavenly host singing "Glory!"
, Mary in Pat's mother's robe and our youngest member as baby Jesus, Birdie was a perfect Christ child as she did not let out a peep.
The 22 month olds were sheep, and one was down for the count. One - Hector- had gone astray by this point of the play... Simon was the inn keeper, and a wonderful one he was indeed.Hallel just called from France and I told her that she was with us for the weekend on the farm in the Christmas tree! Proof positive. Things are still kind of busy and I am distracted today so this will be brief.
Loved to get us gathered for mass and dressed up for the Feast of The Baptism of the Lord yesterday. Ruth's 3 oldest served on the altar and all 29 of us gathered with social distancing and masks for 8a mass, but cleared them away for our picture with Jesus in the tabernacle and on the Cross behind us and in our hearts, minds and souls!
One more location to celebrate our gathering together to share our Faith/Family/Farm and the birth of our Savior of heaven and earth!
LOVE! The reason for the season, which today becomes ordinary time once again... loved going to my father's prayer book and finding his notes to me! Son-in-law reminded me that dad's books were "Sacramentals" left behind for me as he used them to pray and now I am carrying that prayer forth daily with his help and guidance! What a blessing to me! Yes, indeed!
The little ones were exhausted, but still were a part of the action... we tried!Grandpa with Birdie's first topknot and Hallel in the tree...
Grandma had to get the 3 little boys just 6 weeks apart in matching tops!
Hallel looking on makes my heart soar!
Birdie and grandma with matching topknots and Hector is sweet! Two arms full of sweetness. I am now needed to make a meal, so I am staggering away from here. "I can do this!" Jesus, we love you and ask that we can give without counting the cost. Bless-bless, Barbara with Birdie Barbara and all!
