Gus in a knitted cap from great grandmother, Anna Louwagie. He has outgrown it before he has a chance to wear it to ward off the winter cold. That is something that Breno and his family have never experienced as they live in Natal, Brazil... on the equator! Breno did have a very good winter while he lived here in 2000-2001. How he loved the "snowdays" off of school. We had about one a week!
Time by the fire on a beautiful evening.... our family that have expanded over the last 10 years meet the Brazilian family that we are reconnecting with.
Reminded of the mind and heart expanding year that we shared, and now his parents are able to "see" for themselves the life that Breno talked about for that year out of his life. It was wonderful to see our life through their eyes, and to know that it had truly touched Breno deeply to become a member of our family!
"If you trust in the Lord and do good,
then you will live in the land and be secure.
If you find your delight in the Lord,
he will grant your hearts desire."
Psalm37
