Hallel is also a contemplative nun, and this is when she told us that she was answering the Lord's call to enter The Community of the Lamb - in front of the altar devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe. This is the founder and foundress of the Community, who were here in the U.S. at the time we came to Kansas City. After spending 4 days with Hallel in Kansas City and the other 9 sisters and 2 postulants over Easter... I see all the day to day work that is needed to care for, feed, keep the monastery clean and beautiful - reflecting their love for Jesus and His Bride, The Church, with flowers and song and PRAYER! They also take Jesus to the poor by begging for their food from the poor on missions time to time.
Little Simon was just 4 and he charmed all the Little Sisters when they came to see us on the farm in 2008..."We are all family." said little Simon as he looked around the table! This is remembered and cherished among our family of the Lamb, for truly this is truth!
A cherished time to remember and hold dear... we were able to join them in prayer in our home throughout their day here with us!
They were able to join us for our hour of adoration - I think the others there were shocked and amazed to share their hour with 6 sisters in habits the color of the sky and the shape of the cross.
The chapel in St Joseph's hospital where I prayed and cried for my son's healing from brain cancer! The Good Shepherd heard my prayers and answered them! This is Good Shepherd Sunday!
Maria discerned for 5 months with the Poor Clares! So powerful as the enclosure keeps the world out of their lives! So important when you spend your days in prayer for the needs of all!
Miracle boy Patrick meeting those that aided him through prayer to find healing - born dead and brought back to new LIFE!
Mary sees the importance of a life of prayer and loving and following Jesus where He may lead!
A healed Patrick!
ST Therese lived a life of prayer and continues to spend her heaven answering them! How blessed are we to follow her example of doing small things with great love!
PRAYER and sharing our Faith with great JOY!
My dad led us into the Church and prays for us each by name 3 times during the week! So many answers in our family as a result of this, and such a feeling of comfort received!
Unable to worship with my family today due to work... went last night alone. Jesus, we love you and know that you watch our for us as the Good Shepherd. Prayer is our love-life-light line to you and from you. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
