Mary with me everywhere/Father's day 2018/plant the seed and trust/bearing fruit that will last!

Pat sandwiched between his youngest and his oldest after a father's Day breakfast on our wonderful porch after mass.  Missing 3 too far away to join us, and 7 in heaven!

Facetimed twice from KC with Nancy and family and later with Nancy's family and Hallel in KC, after sharing mass with The Community of the Lamb!  Pat is feeling happy and special today with wonderful caramel rolls made by new daughter-in-law, Bobbi!  She knows how to get to his heart!
Even with the heat and humidity we have been enjoying our newly redone porch with wonderful family time!  Today we had a special Father's Day breakfast with Bobbi's yummy caramel rolls, Ruth's pretty Mother's Day plates, plant in the center, and helping me get my table and chairs on line!  I am so happy with the results of making my porch a place to entertain!
My newest special place outside thanks to Simon, who assembled it for me!  If he can build lego creations and other constructing... he has now realized it can include other assembling too!
Mary is so important to me throughout each new day... I love to have her with me everywhere!  I bought this statue very much marked down due to her hand missing and many of my statues have that issue, too!
I have 3 Mary statues outside!  Paul just cut back an encroaching Mulberry bush from around the statue in the yard!

Just like inside my house, where she is everywhere... John counted about 20+ Marys and equally many Jesus around my home a few years back.  "Anyone walking in here would know that we are crazy Catholic!" John exclaimed!
14 1/2 month old Joy with Mary over her shoulder on my new chair!  Your life journey baby Joy will be especially blessed by having Mary the Mother of God with you!

So much of that journey is as we follow after Jesus through the intercession of Mary...  "for we walk by faith, not by sight."  2 Cor 5  So true!!!  We place our Trust in Jesus and pray without ceasing through his Mother through the rosary... our heart is carried to that inner temple where we plant the seeds of Faith and trust that good fruit will result!
Never satisfied with just one!

Pat was just praying and hoping for rain today, and looking outside I see that a light rain just started.  After 40 years of marriage even this old city girl can comprehend how we cannot control the weather... the seed is planted when we can and the weeds are controlled and the insects too, but the weather is out of our control!  Yes, there have been masses for rain in drought times over those years, and what we call "million dollar rains" just in the nick of time.

These words of Christ describe the farmer trusting and going forward year after year:
Jesus said to the crowds:
“This is how it is with the kingdom of God;
it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land
and would sleep and rise night and day
and through it all the seed would sprout and grow,
he knows not how.
Of its own accord the land yields fruit,
first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
And when the grain is ripe, he wields the sickle at once,
for the harvest has come.”

Lots of prayer and hope and trust in getting the rains/"Rain makes grain" and not the hail and storms that can wipe them out, which has thankfully not happened very often over those 40 years!
A big colorful flower appeared?

Jesus, thank you for our family farm, and sharing the job of feeding the world!  May we also plant the tiny seed of Faith in our lives and nurture it with pulling the weeds of selfishness and giving without counting the cost.  Monitoring all that we fill our hearts and minds with so that we can be pure and good as soil cleared of weeds that choke and hurt our fruit!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Love this!!! Open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS!  My hero for LIFE and family!  One of the things that made me fall head over heels in love with this farmer.  City girl come to the farm, and still learning.  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke
Hallel in May when we visited there.  It was not quite 100 degrees today there, and we have fake plans to go down there for the 4th of July.  I know we will be spending a lot of time in Nancy's pool!  One last time with Hallel before she leaves for France on the 17th of July... we will be flying over on the 13th of August for her marriage/final vows on August 15th... 18 of us!!!  The tickets are bought and as it turned out the Holy Spirit took over and is allowing Pat, I, John and Bobbi to spend two more days there with Little Sister Hallel and her Community as the tickets were half price if we stayed longer!  Wow!!!
Time with my parents a month ago when dad returned from Vets with a new tube... it has now been taken out!  I hope to spend some time with them this week after all that has been happening around here with family... it will be good to spend some time in their peaceful home!
My dad with Jesus in the Bread of LIFE!  Happy Father's day to this wonderful man, who has listened to the Holy Spirit in our lives!  He brought all 13 of us into The Church swimming against the tide of Vatican 2!  He certainly is a powerful example of "walking by Faith!"  I love you dad!  I will give you a Father's Day hug tomorrow!

Happy Fathers Day
“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” – Psalm 127:3-5

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,...
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Lauren Daigle - Trust in you

Father's Day 2009... began John's cancer journey!  Visiting with John and Bobbi today and recalling how John's public suffering and finding Faith through brain cancer and healing brought many to the power of prayer for the first time in their lives!
