"My heart is overwhelmed!" Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

John with three of his 4 sisters... Hallel is with him in spirit and there are 7 siblings in heaven with them too!  John has 2 brothers younger than him buried at the cemetery - William and Robert.  I lost them both due to a cord injury at 5 months in the womb.  The picture would have been a lot different with them in it!  Now John has 3 brothers through marriage, and 3 more through his marriage last weekend to Bobbi!  "Mom, I have more brothers than sisters for the first time in my life!"
His 3 sisters, brother-in-law, Paul and now 3 new brother in laws, Kirby, Scott, and Jason Schmidt!  Family means the world to us and we rejoice at John expanding his brothers in this world!
gifted with another favorite... Clothesline pictures!!!  I drove up the driveway to find Mary and Therese teaming up to put clothes on the line, and baby sister, Evangeline joined them.

Lots of socks when you have 9 kids there during this week of vacation Bible school!  The 3 older ones have been staying over with Ruth and went for the morning all week for Bible School!  Patrick told me that he doesn't want to go home... he is having so much fun on the farm!
A few more from the wedding because I realized today that I haven't come down to earth yet!  Even with a 1 1/2 year old following me around everywhere I go... unless she is taking her nap like now!  I am still so filled to overflowing by the perfectness of the joining of John and Bobbi in Holy Matrimony!   As the first reading from Hosea states with the Sacred heart of Jesus on this Solemnity...  "My heart is overwhelmed!"

I ran into a couple in the parking lot at Walmart and they shared that it was one of the best weddings ever... "all of it!"  I know that I am biased, but heaven came down to earth and there was much JOY in heaven!
So beautiful inside and outside!!!  Peonies blooming just for her!
This man and his little ones adore him!  He has been caring for Evangeline through the night when she cries for mom and dad!
Rock picking the other day... baby girl found her big sister and didn't want to be apart from her even an inch!
They are very close... very much so!!!  Therese has cared for her always!  Behind them used to be the small house where their mommy lived for her early life - we moved from there when Susan was 2.  So many memories!
These grain bins were in my back yard and not as pretty and my little red barn is now.
Two baskets of baby kitties - 10 total!
Giving Our Lady a kiss... she has been so good for grandma!
Have I returned to my nest years?  My heart tells me yes, my old body chasing after a 1 1/2 year old for a week tells me "no"!
A new adventure on the farm!!!!  A baby duck comes to live with them... it thinks that it is a human, and is very soft.  Super cute and special for the kids.  They have it in a cattle tank to keep the dog from having a quick lunch.  They named him Lucky Duck... let's hope that is true!
It seems that one must cry for the other to smile... baby girl psychology!
Any angle is cute!  The two redheads from above!
Adorableness is all around me!

The reading from Ephesians is out of this world for today!!!
"For this reason I kneel before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory
to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self,
and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
that you, rooted and grounded in love,
may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones
what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge,
so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."  Ephesians 3

I couldn't stop... it was all so powerful and True!  The LOVE of Christ fills our hearts/ overwhelmed by LOVE!!!
Enough ducks... I get the best JOY from this beauty!!!

Jesus, we are filled to overflowing with your LOVE for us as you gave us LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT through The Cross!  Jesus, we know of your heart burning with love for us!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Grandpa taking a nap with his sweet baby girl!  She is so in love with her wonderful grandpa!  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke

#FeastDay The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is celebrated on the octave day of the feast of Corpus Christi. In the 17th century Jesus appeared in a vision to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque asking her to request that this feast be celebrated in honor of his Sacred Heart in reparation for the ingratitude of mankind toward the sacrifice of his love on the Cross. Pope Pius IX extended the fe...ast of the Sacred Heart to the universal Church in 1856. The imagery of Christ pointing to his heart, on fire with love, signifies his immense and infinite love for humanity which took Him to the Cross to die for our salvation. The Sacred Heart of Jesus desires that all mankind draw close to Him in love and trust. Today this devotion, given to the faithful by Our Lord himself, is among the most popular of the Catholic Church.
