Dad started by sharing with me the psalm prayer that is found after the 57th Psalm in morning prayer this morning in the prayer of the Church/the office...
"Lord send your mercy and your truth to rescue us from the snares of the devil, and we will praise you among the peoples and proclaim you to the nations, happy to be known as companions of your Son." Dad has this memorized and speaks of how wonderful are these words to him.
He is also working on memorizing the 23rd Psalm, and it truly is amazing to hear all the beautiful ways He is there for us and provides for us! It is making him question his chosen Psalm 121 for his funeral mass... I assured him that the Spirit it at work in him as it has been throughout his entire life, and he can reconsider and prayerfully change that along the way.
Psalm 121
Assurance of God's Protection
A Song of Ascents.
1I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
2My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
3He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
4He who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
8The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time on and forever more.
It's a good one indeed!
Special times this past summer with my brother, sister in law and parents! I am soon to be heading for home after some days with my wonderful parents. Sharing our Faith and Family and returning to my Farm! Fall is in the air and with it comes our busy time on the farm of taking the crop out to feed the world!

I do a litany of our two huge families... probably over 200 of us! I place each one in the monstrance with Jesus in adoration. I once asked my daughter, Maria, how I should pray for so many ... This was the prayer that she gave me; "Jesus, and Mary, I love you. Save souls!" So concise and powerful and hence when I have completed my litany... I pray this 3 times with all my heart! Hear my prayer, O Lord Jesus Christ, through the intercession of your Mother, Mary Most Holy, Queen of heaven and earth!
St Vincent de Paul was praying before the Eucharist one time and,
after a man told him about a poor person on the street needing help, Vincent said:
"I am going to Jesus from Jesus."
Today is the feastday of St Vincent! May we go forth and see Jesus in all we meet!

It is wonderful to share the Love for Mary with so many wonderful Saints!

Cast your lot with the winner, St Michael The Archangel. It is good to have many friends in high places when facing "the wickedness and snares of the devil".

My hero!!!! A man who loved family and LIFE!

Returning to my farm and my husband and farm family! I am being encouraged to get to KC to say farewell to some of our Community of the Lamb family, who will be leaving after the dedication of the Monastery the Little Brothers just built at the bottom of the hill on November 3rd! "You might not see them again and they are family!" Little Sister Benedict, Little Sister Ode, and Little Sister Stephanie have been here in the U.S. for most of the last of 10 years, and are now American Citizens! They will be missed sorely and immensely! Bless-bless, Barb
