Jude's house for the storm/paralytic lowered by his friends/TEC canceled

My prayer book beat out his big board books and he sat peacefully for a few seconds while grandma read to him about the paralytic being lowered in front of Jesus by his friends in Mark 2 today!  So powerful to read on this day that TEC was to commence, but the storm made that impossible!

It has been quite a while since grandma has gotten to spend time with Jude... he will be 10 months next week!  Since Christmas Camp he has flown out East for his baby girl cousin's Baptism with mom and dad and grandpa and grandma Schmidt!

With the coming storm his mom and dad thought that it would be wise to keep Jude off the roads, so grandma came to spend the day in town with him.... watching the snow blow sideways in their large windows...
No pictures, but those pages were so rippable… " If grandma likes this book so much, it must be really special."

This Gospel!!! How we love it!  So many times we have been lowered in front of Jesus by our friends, and He has healed us, and told us to go forward proclaiming the Gospel - "The Kingdom of God is at hand!!!"

They came bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men.
Unable to get near Jesus because of the crowd,
they opened up the roof above him.
After they had broken through,
they let down the mat on which the paralytic was lying.
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to him,
“Child, your sins are forgiven.”...
Which is easier, to say to the paralytic,
‘Your sins are forgiven,’
or to say, ‘Rise, pick up your mat and walk’?
But that you may know
that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth”
–he said to the paralytic,
“I say to you, rise, pick up your mat, and go home.”
He rose, picked up his mat at once,
and went away in the sight of everyone.
They were all astounded
and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this.”

Such an amazing Gospel today from Mark 2!
Love sharing the day with this little sweet heart!

It was hard to decide that the weekend should be canceled due to the incoming storm, yet there was no other answer to keep people safe on the roads.

So many involved in the weekend with high hopes and many prayers for a closer encounter with Jesus!  Yet, considering this morning all the The Church gives us with each new day... Jesus is there with his arms wide and we can encounter him in just the same way through all that we are allowed to experience in each Catholic Church!  We love our TEC family, but over and above we LOVE, love, Love The Church and we are given SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much!
Mass at St Paul Cathedral on Saturday!  The Angels and the Saints joined us in praising God's Son, Jesus Christ in his Body and Blood!

What has struck me in the sadness of this weekend not able to happen because of Mother Nature.  All that we share at TEC retreats is available to us in our nearest Catholic Church!  Jesus there for us in His Body, Blood and Word!  His unconditional LOVE and forgiveness in the confessional as we are blessed with the Sacraments including Reconciliation, holding our Mother's hand as we pray the rosary each day, joining with the Saints each day as they help us down the narrow path to Jesus!  So very much to help us!!! We are so blessed and beloved by Jesus in giving us His Bride, The Church!
Prayer buddy!  Pat just called to say that the visibility in the country is bad... Thick sideways snow blowing here too!  The Lord's plan is disappointing with all the work and prayers for this special weekend retreat, but we can still have The Church giving us all we need for the journey!
Jude and I are listening to Christian music while he plays in his playpen so grandma can share here... he seems to think that my computer cord is more interesting than all his toys and books.
Grandma better hurry so that Jude can be on my lap and not my computer!

 Always have to take 3!
Witnessing two come into The Church where my parents, I, and siblings were confirmed in a huge adult confirmation almost 50 years ago!  I remember how overwhelmed I was in seeing this glorious Church for the first time as we walked forward to have the Bishop in his tall hat lay his hands on us to receive the Holy Spirit!  As a Charismatic, who had received the Holy Spirit as a Protestant when a prayer group laid hands on me... I was then convinced that The Catholic Church has it all figured out!  How I love, love, love The Church!

 Can't get enough!
Jesus comes to us each new day!

Jesus, how we love you and long to love and serve you with our ALL!  We are lowered in front of Jesus by our friends united in prayer!  How you love us and heal us if only we humbly ask and give you all our sins and burdens and bring them into the LIGHT and out of the darkness.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
