Mass with dad/Baptism of the Son of God/"This is my Beloved Son, listen to Him!"

Dad sharing Jesus in the Eucharist with mom, who has decided that it is not possible for her to make it to mass now.  "It is just too hard to go to mass, dad can bring me Jesus."

I am very honored and happy to share mass with my wonderful father - the King, who brought us into The Church 48 years ago.  It has been a rich visit with my hour in front of the tabernacle praying for Fr Todd at Good Shepherd in Golden Valley, mass in St Paul Cathedral for Keith and Jenny coming into The Church, and now celebrating The Baptism of the Lord and the end of the Christmas season at Sacred Heart.  Also sharing prayer with mom and dad in the prayer of The Church.  Our lives are enriched and every day a gift since!
" Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed."
 "Jesus, the Body of Christ."

My dad tells Paula and I.. the nurses..."Hide your angel wings, because when you walk in here you are our angels."  While we were eating dinner together we talked about dad's coming 95th birthday in 2 months and whether we should try to have a little open house with cake to celebrate this milestone.  Our answer was - "Who knows what tomorrow will hold or if we will make it to tomorrow."  So we had better not make plans that far ahead.
Mom was watching mass in the Vatican - the Baptizing of 32 children by the Pope in Sistine Chapel ...Fr Pederson at mass talked about how The Holy Spirit comes to us at Baptism and it is the Commencement of our lives of Faith in The Church!

Mom eating a brandy bean from her grandson!
Happy 5th anniversary of Ruth and Paul winning a pickup as the National winners!
The kids celebrating their win!  I am on the road with rosary beads in hand and my chapel on wheels is my wonderful place of prayer!  Listening to the Son of God!  Bless-bless, Barb
