The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world. WE continue to share and depend on the support of our prayer warrior community, that has lowered us into the Lord's presence for His healing!
O Antiphon - Sapientia- O Wisdom, O holy Word of God's mouth/"May his name be blessed forever" Psalm 72
CCC - Cross Christmas Camp 8 years ago - 2012! We numbered 19 with the missing Hallel, and today we are up to 31 with the new life in Maria's womb! An increase of 12 with a spouse for John, and 11 additional grandchildren! LOVE to see the growth of more to love.
We would have been gearing up for our CCC this year as it officially starts tomorrow night. Not to be this year due to the virus. I will be using pictures from years past as I am very sad to not be gathering with mom and dad and our huge Cross Clan of over 130+ ! With mom and dad now gone in the last year 7 months apart... it would have been a sad tinged gathering, but healing to get some real hugs and reminisce about our wonderful parents, and the honor I had having dad here for 6 months leading up to his natural death here on hospice.
7 years ago at CCC - baby Luke just about 2 months old with his mommy, Ruth Ida! He looks like baby Jesus! One thing we will be doing is a nativity scene with the grandkids for our first ever Verly Christmas Camp weekend in January! Birdie will be the precious baby Jesus!
2015 was a big year!!! All of ours there - only missing Hallel! This was our Christmas and how we love our huge family Christmas at Camp Wapogasset! LOVE to see mom and dad in the middle of their loving family - now they are together praying more perfectly for us from heaven! I, too, pray for them on their journey. They are with me each new day!
Mom and dad with Santa - 2015! Precious memories now that they are both gone in the last year, and now covid is preventing us from gathering to share our love with one another and enter the new world of having mom and dad together in heaven.
I am richly blessed by dad's man, Brother Victor-Antione! I felt that my 6 months with dad were "religious life on the farm in our farm monastery". Reading now daily from this monk I see that I am once again invited to join him in his day to day prayer and work and I am lifted up! Today marks the first day of "O Antiphon" - Sapientia and what a beauty it is!
O Wisdom, O holy Word of God's mouth, you govern all creation with your strong yet tender care. Come and teach us all the ways that lead to life. Wow! So beautiful and powerful and truly a heartfelt prayer of mine! Love this Gregorian Chant of such stunning beauty and call to prayer in our inner temples!
Sapientia - O Antiphon
Our 2 Davids with baby Jesus in 2015... Big Dave Lanoue is now 12 and Little Dave is 10! David was in the genealogy of Jesus today! I thought of these two wonderful boys and also of the new Postulant Little Brother David, who is blind and now a little brother in France from KC!
https://youtu.be/Uhqgy3qmQL8 Hope you can listen to this - he chose David as he loves Mary and she is the new arc of the Covenant and we will dance before her!
Now amazing 2016 with Therese and Mary holding newborn Evangeline Mary, Therese' baby sister and baby Jesus approves with outstretched arms of LOVE!
2016 was the year of our Tshirts! LOVE! I wear mine all the time!
2016!! Still growing!
My dad is coming to me today with the Psalm speaking about His Name - God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit - the Trinity! Then we have the genealogy today in the Gospel and names are galore there!
Dad from morning prayer this 3rd week of Advent!
"How does Joseph exercise his role as protector?
Discreetly, humbly and silently,
but with an unfailing presenceand utter fidelity,
even when he finds it hard to understand."
Pope Francis
"Words cannot express the perfection of his adoration.
If Saint John leaped in the womb at the approach of Mary,
what feelings must have coursed through Joseph during those six months
when he had at his side and under his very eyes the hidden God!
If the father of Origin used to kiss his child during the night and adore the
Holy Spirit living within Him, can we doubt that Joseph must often
have adored Jesus hidden in the pure tabernacle of Mary?
How fervent that adoration must have been:
My Lord and my God, behold your servant!
No one can describe the adoration of this noble soul.
He saw nothing, yet he believed;
his faith had to pierce the virginal veil of Mary.
So likewise with you!
Under the veil of the Sacred Species
your faith must see our Lord.
Ask St. Joseph for his lively, constant faith."
St. Peter Julian Eymard
