The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world. WE continue to share and depend on the support of our prayer warrior community, that has lowered us into the Lord's presence for His healing!
Big shoe pictures/John 6 - Jesus and the storms of our lives
Jude brought his grandpa's huge shoes and stepped into them to give me some giggles and an attempt to capture one of my favorite pictures - little ones in big shoes! Birdie was circling him and so with the two in motion - less than clear or wonderful. They are a beehive of activity - two so close in age! Birdie will be 1 in a few weeks and walking about then too... two kids going in two directions most likely!
At this point they seem to like to be close to each other and hopefully that will continue when they are both on their feet.

Learning to play together or just wanting to be in the same space at the same time? Hopefully they will allow their being together into play together. I know that Birdie adores her big brother and would giggle when he would pay attention to her.
My day is spent on this Saturday of the Second week of Easter, and how I adore that we are going into John 6 more! I was thrilled to see it begin yesterday with the feeding of the 5,000 with the 5 barley loaves and the two fish, but I had forgotten that next is one of those Jesus walking on water stories, where they try to get him into their storm tossed boat, but instead He miraculously has them arrive at their destination!
When it was evening, the disciples of Jesus went down to the sea, embarked in a boat, and went across the sea to Capernaum. It had already grown dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they began to be afraid. But he said to them, “It is I. Do not be afraid.” They wanted to take him into the boat, but the boat immediately arrived at the shore to which they were heading.
Snack time in a booster seat and feeling like a big girl at the table at grandma's house. They are coming to be with me each afternoon for this month, so it is fun to have them get comfortable and for us to have our routines!
Such a sweet happy girl is my namesake, Birdie Barbara!
It was pointed out that we attempt to get Jesus to get into our boats tossed by the storms of our lives, but rather we need to realize that he is in control and Trust! He will lead us to where we are to arrive.
Jesus, we Trust in you!
A huge time to trusting came with their dad, John's cancer battle 12 years ago now!
