We had been together for CCC in December and now a few months later due to covid closing the door of his Assisted living to him. His prophecy that he would come to live with me" if anything happens to your mom" came to happen. I was pinching myself! My dad is living with me on the farm!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!
Soon we added our 3p prayer time on the porch - rosary and chaplet of divine Mercy! A year ago before the leaves were out on the trees just like today. We started to call our prayer our "work" and this a "Farm Monastery".
Watching early spring work on the field by our red barn. Dad was very interested and was able to watch an entire growing season on the farm. From working the field, planting the seeds, weeding and spraying, watching it grow up over our heads, harvesting and digging the field for next year, and we even had our first snow just days before he died on October 23rd. 6 months on the farm and 7 months from when mom passed away on March 16th!
Joy showing great-grandpa the eggs that she and mommy found.
One of my stray male cats that was living the cushy life on the porch furniture... Stubby is back this spring looking a bit worse for the wear.
Loved our prayer together and now I have his prayer books to read from each day with his markings of years of study and loving Jesus and His Bride, The Church! How we shared that!Today was Easter 4 years ago in KC and everywhere... Love this memory of Hallel and Captain Joseph being together. She then came home for her home visit!
Dad and St Theodore today... so good and it is like he is sharing with me his wisdom and LIGHT once again with each new day!
This is some crazy amazing stuff here! Prefiguring the cross!
Mother Teresa Today reminds us that we need to be LIGHTS for all those around us! Where are the places for me today? Going with Pat for his 2 week check up on his shoulder, shopping, caring for Jude and Birdie for the afternoon... Day to day ordinary things.
Dad baptizing Nancy 39 years ago with her Godmothers, Mary and Raterra.
Ruth and Paul's mural on the wall while Jude takes his nap.
Birdie is sweet and happy and brings me light!
