Yes, it was pink and fuzzy and a few sizes too big.
Cute alert! My dad about a year ago... he lived with me for 6 months starting in mid April 2020. Covid did not separate us rather it brought us together. His assisted living would not allow him back after a procedure at Vets. So his prophecy of living with me if anything happened to mother came true!
A gift for Father's Day from Hospice. Dad went on hospice the day he arrived on the farm and modeled how to with the help of hospice peacefully die a natural death with confidence in ever after with Jesus, Mary and the Saints along with mom, who went 7 months ahead of dad!
Dad was so sharp! He was very meticulous about paying his own bills right up until his last few months. This little desk was from the bedroom set he and mom had when they were first married and that I now have here in my home. Dad slept back in his old bed, and now we have it back again. It was ideal to have our room for his private space for the 6 months on our farm monastery!

Why so much about dad today? The description of Barnabas today in Acts 11 really was a description of my dad, too! "... they sent Barnabas to go to Antioch.
When he arrived and saw the grace of God,
he rejoiced and encouraged them all
to remain faithful to the Lord in firmness of heart,
for he was a good man, filled with the Holy Spirit and faith.
And a large number of people was added to the Lord. "

Dad in our 3p Prayer space as we did our rosary and chaplet each day. Whenever there was farm work going on dad would love to watch, and he always had treats for the workers. Special memories shared with my dad on the farm!
The cows and calves eating the grass around the our little red barn!
My dad as a permanent deacon baptized all 5 of our kids! So special to have him come to mass for the Baptism of Great granddaughter, Birdie Barbara, and with 3 of the 5 he baptized here in the Marshall church years ago!
Sweetness in a picture! You have so much to thank this good man for, Birdie! Listening to the Holy Spirit within him he led all 13 of us into The Church 50 years ago! And he and I have shared ALL the wisdom and Truth of The Church! How I adored sharing Faith with my parents and now with my entire domestic Church/family! What a delight to have dad here for that time - the head of our family church!
Dad with Birdie was such a gift!
Dad knew and is praying for our new little one in the womb!
Dad ..." he was a good man, filled with the Holy Spirit and faith."
My day is flying by with kids for the day.... I must get this done! The Gospel today is the Lord showing us that He is our loving and caring Good Shepherd..."My sheep hear my voice" each day in The Word and fed at his table as He leads us into the green pastures and feeds us with His Body and Blood.

In Christ who is the source of my strength
I have strength for everything. - Phil 4:13

"Love makes the heart leap and dance.
Love makes it exult and be festive.
Love makes it sing and be silent as it pleases.
Love grants it rest and enables it to act.
Love possesses it and gives it everything.
Love takes it over completely and dwells in it.
And Holy Communion is the mansion of love."
St. Veronica Giuliani
Help doing my reading of Pope Benedict XVI left for me by my mother this morning! Bless-bless, BarbaraPat here this morning with the cuties and returned the favor of pictures with my namesake.
Always wants to be close to us, but is too sweet to resist.
Little boy and girl time.
Playing in the tub without the water.
So familiar - some things never change - late for lunch with little girls on his lap helping him eat lunch!
LOVE in a photo!
This guy makes grandma lay down with him each day.... a real sacrifice!
