Big sister, Therese has been supplying grandma with pictures and I am so grateful!
14 year old Therese is the best big sister in the world to her younger siblings, and it seems that she is following in her grandmother's footsteps with love of photography!
Maggie from above - her hair has grown out curly and her scar from her huge surgery the day after her first birthday is now not evident.
If you look very close you can see her jig jag scar from ear to ear.
Smile...

A study of Magdalene by her older sister.
Faintly can see her fading scar as she is now healed and her brain can grow normally. The wonders of modern medicine are amazing along with so many prayers!
A picture of Maria and Joseph and the rental truck they had to unload and put in a storage unit for some weeks and then reload another truck and take it to their new home in Charlottsville, Virginia for a year. Major Joseph will be a student at the University of Virginia for being a new Major as a Jag Officer/lawyer in the Army.
Answered prayers for their new home in Charlottsville for their family of 9!

We talked to Hallel, who shared that they could have flown to Detroit, and gotten a hotel there, but that made no sense when they knew friends, who live close to the airport. They were waiting for pizza when we called and were to have mass together in the morning before they headed to the airport. Sounds like they are comfortable and in good hands, and now prayers for their safe journey from here to there. Now they will fly to Atlanta and then to Paris, and then to Toulouse... PRAYERS!

Time after mass yesterday for St Magdalene - I was able to read morning prayer in the Magnificat and thought that these words were very powerful. I am noticing that when you have a grandchild with that name and therefore their feast day that it makes things much more close to your heart!
Also this author is new to me and now special also!
Lots of prayer time on Fridays- my hour of praying for dear friend, Fr Denny, with 7 Sisters on Friday with some friends practicing for leading music on the weekend. I love to walk the stations on my 4th decade of the rosary as dad and I did each Tuesday and Friday on my porch for 6 months... dad would have a station for each of the 10 beads! So powerful to now have dad with me in that way on Fridays in our glorious church!
Our time begins with a nice lunch together on our beautiful porch... then we finally were able to go and get me a new stove after our 19 year old stove died a month ago.
Lunch, then new stove, and out to supper. Now a peaceful day with work around the yard and moving cows in the pasture behind our house.
LOVE this tradition of embracing the Cross on your wedding day! Our Hallel pointed out on the occasion of her sister's engagement that our spouse would become our Most Cherished Cross! Here are her beautiful words!
Nancy, Look I am writing you a letter... aren't you impressed? Well, you better be because both you and I know how often this happens. I am writing to tell you now extremely excited I am about your engagement to Bill. I have to admit, when I got the news I wasn't really shocked but that night as it sunk in during adoration and the next day during mass I was so happy. My heart overflowed with joy for you. How beautiful to know that you have found your... most cherished cross. While I have never had the experience of being married, from what I hear is that he will truly be your cross. But not your cross as human eyes look at it, as a thing to run away from, as a thing of torture but rather as that which is truly the tree of life. It is only when clinging to the cross that one can truly live, it is the source of all life and of all love. Your marriage to Bill will be this, not something to run away from when it gets hard and when it hurts, but something to hold tight to, especially when it hurts because it is in this that you will find life and love. Know that it is through your marriage that Jesus wants to show you his great love for you and also that the best example that you can give to the world of Christ's love is a marriage lived in truth. So, in other words, know that I am so happy for you and that I love you a whole lot. Know that you are in my prayers during this crazy time of wedding planning; that you may not go crazy but rather learn to love each other better and that you may both have great joy and great peace. Remember to pray for me too! God Bless, Your little Sister Hallel

Dad in Office of Readings today - Open wide your hearts!
This word dad circled reminded me of during sharing Morning prayer with hubby this morning in bed that the word "audacious" came up in reference to St Bridget, who is the saint for today. I looked it up and discovered that it means "showing a willingness to take surprisingly bold risks."

Now capacious means - "having a lot of room inside" the heart of Paul. Will I remember the meaning of these two words... probably not, but it was interesting to look them up and made it all make more sense. Cool to know that St Paul holds us in his huge heart filled with the LOVE of Christ! Bless-bless, Barbara and the 53 - 34 with us and 19 in heaven
