My mini pumpkins/gourds I picked yesterday to start the fall look on my porch and with 10 month old Thomas Robert. Ruth and Paul kindly named him after my father, Deacon Robert Cross, who lived his last 6 months here in our farm monastery - he died on October 23, 2020. We are approaching the 2 year anniversary!
Yes, Tom, she is our wonderful Spiritual Mother!
I have covid to thank for my father coming here to live! He had prophesied that he would come to live with me is mom died ahead of him, and the day her arrived he was admitted to the same hospice I had worked for 20 years! I LOVE hospice and so it was the best gift ever to be able to share that with my father as we helped him walk into the sunset of his life together!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!
Tom and I thought about riding along in the truck, but not this time. There will be other times as we are just getting started, right Tom?
Even a black eyed Susan flower that is always blooming with our Susan/Little Sister Hallel's birthday on the 18th of September.
Out to get tomatoes and came back with gourds, beets and beet greens for supper and zucchini
My other Mary statue outside with purple petunias and tiny pumpkin gourds - a combination of summer and fall. This was a powerful image of how I feel that much of our morals and values are being trampled! The sacred marriage of one man to one woman, being open to family/LIFE, and sharing our Faith in The Church!
Tom with our little red barn behind.
For pictures I will do the work! That is my passion! Yes, I am overboard I know...
With our 100 year old Cottonwood tree...
Just the right size for a little curious boy.
Learning to do steps. My dad's namesake!
He sure likes to get attention and love, and gifts me with smiles and giggles.
Tom is getting to know grandma and we have a routine when he comes beginning with a ice cream sandwich cut up which he feeds himself! He is getting spoiled by his grandma and grandpa while mom and dad are busy and his siblings - all 6 are now in school.
Now in morning prayer today - this prayer dad memorized and each day when we shared evening prayer we would say this. We would watch the sun set in the West for this last month he was here during the fall harvest.
Mom left me Pope Benedict XVI daily sharings! Today..."Because of this beauty and truth, he is ready to renounce everything, even himself." Yes, LORD and LADY!
Dad's man, Brother Victor speaking so beautifully about the seasons on this begnning of Fall and farm work of harvest.
Peace and harmony is our prayer, O Lord. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Blessed! Bless-bless, Barbara and the 54 - 34 with us and 20 in heaven including both of my parents, who died 7 months apart in 2020. They were married for 70 years and only apart for 7 months. There would be times when dad would pray and ask mom to help him when things were getting a bit tough. She would assist him! That it LOVE - the Sacrament of Matrimony lived out even when one was awaiting the other in heaven.
Yes! WE are all called to be The Saint that is just me.
