Yes, the licorice was part of our history recorded for all time! Pat has been giving me input on something that I really had not considered for myself. Being a Eucharistic Minister to those sick in the hospital. When I heard about it - my first thought is that I am busy with my large family and it is unpredictable of when I am available. But he kept encouraging me - so I am now signed up and realize that it will be a special experience to share Jesus with others that are sick.
Now grandma's turn - it was hot the the girls were getting to the end of their patience with all the pictures! My dad with our then 19 grandchildren - even holding his friend, George, on his lap. The shade helped for them to smile weakly on a hot day. We have added 4 since this picture with our 23rd grandchild coming to add to the 22 we have here. A LIFE is a life no matter how small! On the occasion of our 44th wedding Anniversary on August 3rd with all 23 grandchildren, and the icon of Hallel's Community of the Lamb - "Wounded, I will never cease to love."My JOY to have all of us together sharing mass as united in our Catholic Faith! Our good friend, Fr Denny said mass for us in St Mary's Chapel at our beloved Catholic School.
Now with Hallel and Our Lady added to make it complete!
John and I have the gift of sharing our hours of Adoration as they overlap from the last hour of Sunday into the first hour of Monday. His scar from his biopsy from 13 years ago when he had the battle of his life against the enemy brain cancer! He had prayed half heartedly for faith and found his faith as he turned to Jesus, Mary and The Church to find his LIFE! The new John!
John has been the voice and prompting of the Holy Spirit to me. He has been asking me to consider going to the Ordination of our new Bishop Chad Zielinski on the 27th of September. I had thought that I would let others go, but now there are tickets left over and once again John asked me to consider.
Nancy and her cousin, Julia, have baby girls - 2nd cousins that are just a month apart... Maeve and Regina Maria - Queen Mary, so Gina is having a Feast day today, too!!!
Out to see Trent's bees and his Zinnias of all colors! Today they will harvest the honey - 200 pounds?Quite an undertaking...
The kids gathered around their parents on a warm evening.
3 first cousins that probably have not been together since grandma Ann's funeral in 2015. Thanks, Ida for getting family together!
Newly full moon on our journey home. The Twins double header kept Pat alert coming and going home. They lost both games to the Yankees! "We just can't beat them."
Some pictures of our humble stain glass windows for Ruth to pick out a color for the front door of their Airbnb across from the church. So fun that these are the bookends of their 7 children - Simon, who will be 18 in a couple weeks, and Thomas, who will be 10 months. Simon is Tom's Godfather along with his big sister, Mary, who is also having a feast day today!
Our newly improved and painted statue of Mary the Mother of God - was so specially beautiful after mass this morning - the Gospel from Matthew was the geneology of Jesus - which shows very powerfully that the God had Jesus in his plan for our Salvation always!
Blessed are you, holy Virgin Mary, deserving of all praise;
from you rose the sun of Justice, Christ our God.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Coming out of the feast mass for Mary's birthday today! LOVE to look over and see the small gem of Ruth and Paul's new project. Soon the door will be... ?
The drought has turned the bean fields to the gold of fall - sadly the crop will be small this year. The rains did not come as we prayed for.
Pretty still. We still need rain for the pastures and all our cows that still need grass and water to drink from the creeks. Pat continues to pray for bountiful rains! Here our prayers, O Lord and Lady. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
What JOY! Bless-bless, Barbara with many Marys celebrating today!
My friend Fr Tim is always so joyful with cute Truths!
Danielle Rose - Mary songs
Salve Regina - Hail Holy Queen gregorian chant and sung as Hallel and The Community of the Lamb sings each night before heading to bed LOVE!
