A stop at Lumen Christi in KCK/Immaculate Heart of Mary - "kept" Jesus there - +JMJ+

Major Joseph with Hallel in front of the Lumen Christi/LIGHT of Christ Monastery in the heart of the poor in Kansas City, KS yesterday afternoon.  It has been a few years since these two have seen each other, and this makes me so happy to see the truth that they will be living just 40 minutes apart for the next year!  Major Joseph and Maria have a year living on Fort Leavenworth, KS with the military while Joe goes through more training for his promotion to Major JAG officer.
Romeo and Hector checking out the chickens.  Maria said that it was hot there.  They call KCK the armpit of the country with heat and humidity to deal with.
15 year old Therese and 6 year old Evangeline checking out the gardens and chickens. When they last saw Hallel a year ago in the first of May - Evie would always say; "I want to be with the nuns."  I predict she will be following Hallel around each week when they visit for hopefully an hour of adoration.
Hallel is Therese's Godmother, so this is especially wonderful for them to live close by.  I hope and pray that there will be lots of time spent sharing in the LIFE of The Community of the Lamb.
A wonderful special time for our family to have 2 daughters living so close to each other.  Hallel has lived in Europe for many years since she joined The Community of the Lamb which started in Saint Pierre, France in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains.  We hope and pray that she will be in Kansas City for this next year.

Maria on the other hand has lived on the West Coast in Fort Lewis, WA for a number of years - for sure she had her last 2 children there.  They then moved to Charlottesville, VA for this last year of school at University of Virginia.  From one coast to the other... now to have them just midcountry is a wonderful blessing.  They have already discovered that they will be in Fort Riley, KS after Leavenworth for 2 years!  Yeah!  I am going to get to know Kansas well!!!

My 3rd daughter, Maria Theresa, and my 4th daughter, Little Sister Hallel/Susan, with Maggie in the middle.  "Maggie is being shy."  I predict that she will learn to love and enjoy her times at Lumen Christi Monastery.  She will run up to Hallel and grab her rosary beads and follow her around the monastery, and for the rest of her life this will be a special holy and beloved place.

How I thank my Spiritual Mother on this day of her Immaculate Heart that we are given the gift of Hallel's call to religious life in our domestic Church/family as an example of giving her ALL to Jesus her spouse!  I have "kept" this beauty in my heart of a mother, who also discerned religious life and now have my nun as a result!

Now the boys getting a tour - It has been many years since they were here.  I want to say that Hector was a baby in arms and now he is 4 years old.
The garden looks lush and up head height!  They grow vegetables and have eggs from their own chickens.  We have plans to take some of these chickens to them on our next trip.  There is some talk of celebrating our 45 wedding anniversary down there with everyone.  When your daughter is a nun - you go to them if you want them to be part of our celebrations.  Hopes and prayers for it to work out.  It would be sometime around August 3rd...
Such a sweet work of art to protray the LOVE of LIFE!
Sacred heart yesterday and today the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

his mother said to him,
“Son, why have you done this to us?
Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.”
And he said to them,
“Why were you looking for me?
Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
But they did not understand what he said to them.
He went down with them and came to Nazareth,
and was obedient to them;
and his mother kept all these things in her heart.   Luke 2

There is so much in my heart that I am always joining with My Lady, Mary the Queen of heaven and earth as I pray without ceasing for my family of 34!  Firstly I ask that they may always love The Church and Jesus and Mary with no reservations, and secondly that they include religious life - priesthood or religious life as an option when they ask the Lord to reveal his plan for each of them.

Jude and Birdie are coming again tonight with their goggles from swim lessons.  They have so much fun together in swim lessons and in grandma's hot tub.
Our Lady in my garden... Blue is her color!
Flowers open to the Sun!  We are the same with The Son!
Nancy's bunch with a Sacred Heart sweet masterpiece to celebrate this Solemnity yesterday - this is 7 year old Josephine Francis!

When Maria's 7 kids arrive tomorrow - I predict that the pool at the farm will be very popular.  Grandma will have to keep an eye on the little ones - especially Maggie and Tommy and Gina!
13 months apart and generally get along very well and spend a lot of time in the hot tub.
They will be here soon.  It is opening night for Tuck Everlasting, and with Bobbi and baby Lucy in Oregon - the kids will be here with me for another long evening.  There are definite plans for many of us to go to the play over this next week sometime.  John has a solo part...
32 years ago or so - bottling a baby calf in the basement with John looking on.  Father's day is tomorrow...
St Joseph is the BEST example of being a wonderful Father in every way!  St Joseph, pray for our fathers that they may be kind, loving and forgiving as you are from heaven with Jesus and Mary.
For all priests!  We need them to bring us the LIFE of Christ in the Eucharist!  May more men say "yes" to your call, O Lord!
Father's Day before Tom - I would say 3 years ago.  Paul is our farmer father of 7 on the farm!
In our domestic Church/family is where we share our Faith on the farm.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 34 plus many Little Sisters and Little Brothers

Feast of the
Immaculate Heart of the
Blessed Virgin Mary

"Be Not Afraid; my Immaculate Heart
will be your refuge and your safe passage to God."
Our Lady of Fatima

"Everything in Mary
leads us toward her Son,
our only Savior,
by whose foreseen merits she was preserved
immaculate and full of grace;
everything in Mary lifts up our hearts
to the praise of the Holy Trinity.

The Church sees Mary, then,
not as the goal, but as the guide,
who always leads souls who honor her
with true devotion – to her Son,
especially to Jesus
in the Blessed Sacrament."

Fr Paul Duffner, O.P.

"Mary, give me your Heart:
so beautiful, so pure, so immaculate:
your Heart so full of love and humility
that I may be able to receive Jesus in the Bread of Life
and love Him as you love Him and serve Him
in the distressing guise of the poor."
St Teresa of Calcutta

Danielle Rose - many about Mary the Mother of God!  She wrote a song for every decade of the rosary!
