"Nothing gets us to look at life with new hope like the wonder of beauty.' - Blessed Virgin Mary pray for us!

I had the delight of spending some time with my super busy husband last evening as he as chairman of the fairboard is busy with all the nuts and bolts!  I find him to be a thing of beauty...  I must admit and I thought his tough enough to wear pink shirt showcased it for me.  I had just spent 3 hours in the prolife booth and been blessed with John and Pat joining me for a bit, but mostly I was blessed with many people stopping by, asking about how our son, who had been struggling with brain cancer for the last year, was doing as well as myself... Some people I hadn't talked to for years stopped by and some that I have never met.  It was uplifting and not to mention the time I spent reading the fliers on the state of abortion in the world and in our country! One thing that impressed me about the rodeo was the loyalty to our wonderful country and then also the "cowboy's prayer" that began the evening!  Jesus, we do have a wonderful country, but to just have left the prolife booth... I am so aware of the horror and casual attitude that we have after all these years of taking the lives of innocent babies....52,008,717+ since abortion was legalized in 1973!  What can be done?!?We all bow out heads in prayer and shame....I am off to the nursing home now... but I will pray all day for this sad state that our country finds ourselves in... I will address this more later.... Hail Mary, full of grace... pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Amen
