I am at my daughter, Nancy's, as today we go to celebrate with my side at a wonderful shower that her "Cross" aunts are putting on for her! As I spent the afternoon here at her place helping out... the birthday girl, Maria, and her family were also here for a wedding! I had the delight of spending time with her and then making mom a watercolor picture and card with my 2 year old granddaughter, Therese! Great fun and so reminicient of those days doing art projects with my girls.. Nancy has shared that her most fond memories are the art projects that we would try to do on Saturdays. She says that she loved it so dearly that she feels that it has influenced her desire to be a teacher!
When I do this at Nancy's I have problems with the pictures doing what I want... I had gone to the file in her photos for the last year... and quickly reminded myself just what the last year entailed... John's cancer. Today last year, Nancy flew to France alone. We had all planned to go, but couldn't due to John's brain cancer... so Nancy had gone to represent us. But John came home from Chemo #2 on this day and then proceeded to get better! Two days later, due to prayer and a total miracle! We flew to France for a week! Since pictures are a challange for me... I think I will add some in a row and write later...
