I borrowed this from Maria's blog. she said that it was within the first 10 minutes of seeing dad! It made me burst into tears when I laid eyes on it for the first time. Just like all those reunion pictures you see on TV of men being reunited with their families. For Joseph and Maria it has just been a few months, but for some that serve overseas... it is much longer and we don't allow our imaginations to carry us there yet. This was so heartwarming... how I love to see those little ones with their daddy!
I was delighted to find this on facebook today! It was truly a gift that I wanted to share with all! Maria looks so beautiful and glowing to see her husband and to have him to herself and their little precious family!
She is trying not to be too hopeful about this weekend, as they were told every other weekend. But she is so cute in that she is making Friday her housecleaing day so that it will be nice for him... just in case. It is wonderful to see the LOVE in her eyes and actions! Thank you Lord!
The sun greeted us today as we said morning prayers - we got a call from Maria - sounding happy and just home from mass with her two little ones! They truly know the Lord and experience Him in the most wonderful way every day! Praise Him... today in the Psalm in mass we see "if my people walk in my ways, I would feed them with the best of wheat" - a promise of the Eucharist! Psalm 81
The sun on the picture window calls the flies to awaken and Herbie is learning to hunt... From the first reading in mass today - Hosea 14... "I am like a verdant cypress tree; because of me you bear fruit!" - an image of the cross. see http://www.magnificat.com/ I have shared often that I love to envision the cross as the tree of life laden with fruit, leaves and flowers...
A year ago this was Holy Thursday and our home was full of family home for the Tridium... I had made this in the picture window with the cross laden with flowers and fruit - it has truly become the Tree of Life! How we have seen that come to fruition in our lives! Our mischarriages and still births, our fight with John against his brain cancer are two of the largest that come to mind. The resulting LIFE that has come to us as a family from these is deep and powerful and TRUE!
So today as we rejoice in the happiness of our daughter and her family as they follow the sometimes difficult path that they are being called to... but after the seperation the joy of being in each other's arms is that much sweeter! 
Jesus, we love you and see with eyes of faith the Truth of the Cross. And we are fed at your table with your Body and Blood and have the strength to face the hardships that come our way. In the midst of them we sometimes lose the fact that they are there to help us turn to you! When we do that and realize that you are in control of our lives... we find peace, joy, happiness and love! Jesus, we trust in you! Amen and Halleluia!
