Bringing the beauty of the Church to others!

Driving straight to Adoration after work at the nursing home... I watched the light on the trees outside the stainglass window and the monstrance symbol... reminding me of the tree of life - the Cross!  Jesus, was on the altar, and even more than my usual peace and joy filled me sitting in His presence!  Pat had filled me in on the wonderful celebration that our church had over the weekend... as they dedicated our new and improved space!
Pat said the the church was packed, and the Bishop was there, and just as he was beginning to preach that the smoke detectors started to go off...
"With all the incense, we finally decided, because there was no fire."  "The Bishop joked that he had no worries, because half the fire department was there at the mass!"

Then a dinner was offered to anyone that wanted to come, and they fed many!  They had planned for 400 from the planning I was in on before the weekend.  I couldn't be there due to my retreat, yet I too was experiencing the bringing of the Church to others!  Yes, we have a beautiful space to celebrate, and it makes the people that had formally attended there surprised and impressed, but the work done to make this event welcoming and beautiful and to showcase a glorious mass with the our humble Bishop, and his words of wisdom and love... It truly brought the Church to many in a powerful deeply spiritual plane!  That is the true point of the renovations too... to make God's dwelling place as beautiful as HE deserves!

The new gathering space.. where the people - the Church can gather to see Christ in one another, and rejoice in our shared faith, and find the joy and light to carry forth into our lives!

Thank you, Fr Paul, and the remodel committee... for evangelizing our faith by making our space in the Lord's home - our Church... a place of beauty and peace!

And thank you CCW for inviting all to the feast to celebrate, and rejoice at the beauty, and come together as Community- the True Church!  Jesus, we see the need to have our Church be a place that instills beauty and wonder!  You are dwelling there in the tabernacle, and we need to show our love and respect for your miracle of LIFE!  We are filled with such love for you, and are seeing your face in one another.  Jesus, we trust in you!  Amen and Halleluia

Bless-bless, Barb
