The mind is slow... I came across this sketch of baby Jesus reaching out to touch the sheep in the stable....it is so much the same as I watch my little grandkids and the animals in their lives... the curiosity and wonder at the softness they encounter... and the realization that this is a living breathing creature with warmth and breath!

Small, warm and purring... Simon ponders this small creature in his arms.

There is a new life in the world to interact with and to care for... we are drawn out of our little world. That is always a good thing - to know that we are not alone.

The wonder of that special day out in the pasture with Mary... as she and Snowball revealed their knowledge, love and respect of each other. It shows the gentle peacefulness and trust of Mary, and the intelligence and trust in Snowball! It was quite something to witness.
When we sat in the branches of a willow tree, and Snowball came there to see Mary.... that was very special to see indeed! Mary has no idea how amazing and special it is to have a cow friend...she thinks that many little 5 year old girls have a cow following them, and allowing them to reach out and touch them gently!

Jesus, thank you for the delightful times in life. So many of those times on the farm involve the little ones.... whether they be children or animals. My desire to capture those moments have left me with so many pictures, and they are cherished by me. They reveal the beauty and specialness of life. They fill my mind and heart - weighted down by the cares of the world- with joy and wonder! Thank you for the beautiful gift of LIFE! Jesus, we trust in you! Amen and Halleluia!

Bless-bless, Barb
