Working outside the home...

This has been a crazy hard week for me... I am leaving a house full of people to head off to work again this morning, and that is hard.  I see the need at the nursing home, but there are many times that I wish that there were those younger to do the job.  But they have young families, and that is actually worse for them to be away from their children.  I was blessed to be able to stay home with my kids, but as soon as they were in school... I was expected to use my nursing and go back to work parttime.

It has been a good thing, but this week has just been a bit too much.  Now with company here... I am feeling tired and worn and worried that my mind will not be on all the things that I am in charge of... meds, treatments and safety of residents.

So with a kitty snugggle and a reminder from Our Lady, whose feast day it is today... I am off to serve and to do my best for those that are at the end of their days.  Jesus said to them,"My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to finish his work." John 4:34

Lord with your Mother at your side... help me through this week of work.  I am not a willing worker and I need to concentrate on the lives and welfare of those in my care.  Help me!  I am weak.  I need you with me to share the light and joy that I find with you.  Use me to your honor and glory.  Hold those that are facing death and have had death touch them... may they find comfort in knowing that the trials of this world are left behind, and they are at peace with you.  For my friend, Larry, and his family.  Jesus, we trust in you!  Amen and Halleuia

Bless-bless, Barb
Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."  Mt 22:37  Lord, help me... I am yours!
