"I love to pray with others." John

John sharing his journey to Faith with the Wabasso Faith Formation students a few months ago... since then he had the opportunity to share it here in Marshall, and a mother shared with me how her 9th grade son, who never talks about matters of faith, could not stop talking about John's conversion - "I missed something special." the mother said to me.  "My son has talked about John every day since that night."  This morning as we joyfully shared our Lenten prayers at breakfast before John headed out to work... John shared how he could see the fruits of sharing his story and the skits that he and Paul have done in how many lined up to pray with him.  "The line never ended.  I love to pray with others.  It is the best!  There were the big jock guys that came up and asked me to pray with them for Faith!  There was also the little girl that went to each one of us to pray, and then came back to pray for her friends cat, Fluffy.  I prayed with her to St Francis, because I just prayed to St Francis the other day when we had been working on that steer for an hour, and then in minutes we were able to finish.  Yes, I do know that St Francis is listening to our prayers and loves animals!"  So cool to bring the Saints into prayer with these young people - they are all around us and interceding for us!
Ruth and Paul presenting their award winning presentation in Tracy about a month ago.  They were also there sharing their Faith last night and praying with the youth after each had gone to Reconciliation they have prayer stations set up.  So good to share the reality that Prayer is real and powerful and truly doing something for others!

Morning prayer and the readings from mass today are all about how God is "remarkably persistent" in his love for us!  Hope is always there for us as we go through the ups and downs of life!  Jesus is always there with his arms wide and his nail scarred hands reaching out to us in unconditional LOVE!  John' prayer ministry developed out of his feeling totally at peace surrounded by the prayers of hundreds of prayer warriors!  In the midst of such horror as discovering that he had a very rare type of brain cancer he was at peace knowing that he was totally surrounded and lifted up in prayer!  This morning he left the house with a smile of his face as I shared with him that our friend studying in Rome went to Lourdes and told Our Lady that John says "Hi!  I Love you!"
Just out of the baths at Lourdes in August of 2009... Father Craig had just helped John go through the baths for the sick.  John had asked them to pour the miraculous waters over his head "that is where I need my healing."  The beads of water are still clinging to his hair!  John fell head over heels in love with Our Lady ever since!  To hear him speak with such love and devotion about his Spiritual Mother gives this mother tears of JOY!  Our hearts are drawn back there with our friend as she meets and greets Our Lady of Lourdes for us!  When we returned almost 2 years later - John could not take his eyes off of her - he was smitten, never to recover!

Jesus tells us today this promise in the Gospel - "Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death."  Jesus to those that take His Word forth into our world.  What is that Word?  LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT/Christ and His Bride, The Church which comes to us through embracing our Most Cherished Cross.  Filled with the Way, The Truth and the LIFE - Jesus - we go forth to serve those in our domestic Church/family without counting the cost.  We love to pray without ceasing!  I have been very much ministered to by my son, John, as he will drop all to pray with me no matter what we are facing together.  He has also shared with me how much my constant praying of the rosary/my lifeline through our battle meant to him.  Once again, the constant presence of Our Spiritual Mother of God along our journey to the new John filled with Faith and the desire to minister to others through the power of Prayer!
September 11, 2008 - the day Susan flew to France to join The Community of The Lamb!  Soon we will be seeing her in KC and get real hugs at Easter!  She will meet 2 of her 3 new nephews at least.  I continue to pray that there is a way that Maria and her bunch can get there while she is here... I am as persistent as The Lord when it comes to getting my family together!

Maria shared this precious picture of Therese with her Godmother, Little Sister Hallel, taken about 5 years ago when Hallel was returning to France and 5 carloads of Verly Family came to say goodbye.  This time it looks like there will be 4 carloads at a couple different times coming to see her.... all but Maria's family.  But prayer could change that, if Hallel is here longer than we think at this point.

Jesus, so much is filling me with great JOY and Hope this day.  I am so filled with awe at your work in our midst... to see my son healed and filled with Faith her half-heartedly prayed for faith, and now with a ministry of prayer.  http://www.dnu.org/news/documents/JAN.2013MASTERISSUE.pdf  Here is the article from the Prairie Catholic in which John shares his story!!!!  So good, and he still thanks God every day for his cancer and asks him why he was spared!  To have my daughters all serving you with there lives - 3 as mothers open to life and raising LIGHTS for the world, and then there is Little Sister Hallel and her Community, who are praying throughout the day for the world and for us!  How we know that their prayers are huge for us on this journey of Faith/Family/Farm!  If we are unfaithful he remains faithful, for her cannot deny himself.  2 Tim 2:13  We have so much Hope knowing of your endless and undying LOVE for us, Jesus.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen

A little girl with a sister for her Godmother and a priest for her Godfather will certainly consider a call in her life!

Hallel's order has Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross as one of their patron Saints.  My mother, Nancy, has brought Edith Stein/Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross to us as a beautiful example of LOVE and a woman, who discovers the Truth!

Wow!  All you women... I hope you can not only read this but bring Our Spiritual Mother, Mary the Mother of God into your home to help you and your family come to The Way, The Truth and the LIFE - Jesus Christ!
Unspoken - Start a fire
I have to share this again today as it is echoing through my mind, heart and soul as I share Jesus and His wonderful Mother with all!

'Tonight, in my theology class, this poem was shared with us. I've heard it before, but rereading it again today gave me the chills. Just thought I'd share with all of you.'
